Has anyone else got it yet? I'm one of those suckers that's essentially bought the album three times, but still, this EP seems pretty good The balalaika mix of The Bachelor is a completely new version, not just a different mix, and works well, although it's not quite as good without Eliza Carthy The demo version of Teignmouth is very different from the WITW version, far more electronic, and with different lyrics, it's very very good Vaaety Braeu (My Vessel Brave) is "a traditional Manx Gaelic folk song, arranged and recomposed by Patrick Wolf. The song was written by a man found in a coracle approaching the Isle of Man on a mission to emigrate from Ireland. Legend says this was the song he wrote to help him on his long one man row across the Irish Sea", as it says on the back It's sung half in English, half in Manx Gaelic, and is guitar (?) and accordion based, and is pretty good, it's very odd hearing Patrick sing in another language The live version of Pigeon Song is exactly as you'd expect but is very nice, stripped down to Patrick's viola plus another violin (I think) The Brede Church Organ Karaoke Mix of Who Will? is just the organ part plus some drummer, it's not wonderful But the other four tracks are really very good

I think it's wonderful. Really, really like this version of The Bachelor. What it lacks without Eliza Carthy is made up for by a beautiful new arrangement, much more Wind In The Wires. And the version of Teignmouth is like Teignmouth if it was released on Lycanthropy, and it's almost better than the original.. maybe just because it's something new to listen to. Vaetty Braeu is the song that can be found on youtube that he played live at that festival that was called Shaelly Toyy or something... very pretty. Nice to have a proper live recording from Shepherds Bush and the Who Will thing is a bit meh but oh well. Overall a wicked little EP

I don't want to spoil it for anyone so if you dont wanna know look away! But it's the picture of him with a white jacket, long hair and like horns or something from the series that both the Vulture and Hard Times single covers are from, in the same style as those. It's nice though

Totally! It's like all of the elves in LOTR are turning into Patrick - there's that screen shot in Vulture that makes him look like Legolas's friend.

Does anyone have a digital version they can "lend" me? i am a poor student who has already spend loads of money on two band stocks, a copy of the album, and seeing him in both leeds and london, all i want to do is appreciate him, but i lack the funds

It just arrived today. Really rather excited about listening to it. Thanks for putting the cover online jakes! But why did they have to put those white stickers on them? It took the glossy coating clean off mine when I removed it.

EVER.
- the official word from team wolf is that mp3s of songs that patrick has released - that is, songs from albums, singles, b-sides and suchlike - should not, under any circumstances, be posted OR requested here. it's all too easy for us to forget that making music is his career, and the money that he makes from selling records is what puts food in his belly, a roof over his head and also funds his next album-exploits - and it's only right that we, as fans, respect his wishes. we and team wolf have no problem with fans sharing live songs and rips of online sessions. - if you have any doubts about what you can/can't post, don't hesitate to contact a moderator or admin via PM.

so i'm just curious, the Spinster EP CD comes in its own CD case with its own art work? is it in a jewel case or a cardboard slip case?
