I've known about this pre-order competition for a while but forgot to post and saw nobody else did venues.meanfiddler.com/relentless-garage/listings/featured/3488Basically if you pre-order 'Lupercalia' here > bit.ly/hjJfo8 You get entered into a competetion to win one pair out of 250 pairs of tickets to Patrick's gig at the 'HMV Relentless Garage. It was originally supposed to be on May 31st. But with the announcement that the album's release date has been pushed back, the gig is now taking place the same day, June 20th. Also you don't HAVE to pre-order the album to enter just noticed that there: For free entry, send your name, address, email and telephone number handwritten on a plain piece of paper by pre-paid post to ‘Patrick Wolf Competition', The Promotions Dept, HMV, Film House, 142 Wardour Street, London, W1F 8LN, to arrive before 23rd May 2011. Only one plain paper entry per stamped envelopeSo if any of you are yet to pre-order the album or have pre-orderded elsewhere but still want to enter, this will be a nice treat. However this competetion isn't open to residents outside of the UK and the closing date is June 13th  |

Oh yeah? Well I could pre-order it under my aunt's address as she lives in the UK but just use my name. But then it seems a lot of hassle :/
Unless every UK wolfboarder enters and takes an international wolf boarder as their plus one haha

Exactly...the cons of such competitions is that if you do win and you can't go, then no one else can use your tickets as it's all 'Photo ID' this...'Guest List' that.
Also if you do live in the UK + do win, there's still the cost of travel/accom etc if you don't have someone to stay with in London :/

It was originally supposed to be on May 31st but with the announcement that the album's release date has been pushed back to June 20th, Team Wolf confirmed today on twitter to a user that the gig is still going ahead but that the date may change. The HMV site now says that it will be on Monday 20th June 2011. The closing date of the competition has moved to 13th June. |

good luck to everyone who can enter the competition  i'd have a place to stay at in london and friends with addresses in the uk, but to spontaneously organise a short trip in only a few days will simply not work, money and job-wise le sigh i just hope all winners can actually come for the day... cause an empty album release gig would be a bit of a bummer |

i just hope all winners can actually come for the day... cause an empty album release gig would be a bit of a bummer I was saying that yesterday...it's a bit silly to automatically enter everyone who pre-orders from the UK because I bet a lot of people won't be able to get to London so short notice  |

^ Yes especially as winners are only notified less than a fortnight beforehand. This is also goes back to my earlier comment that just say I won but couldn't go then I doubt anyone else could use my tickets, I'd say it'll be strict :/

Someone here who would take me along if they won? I'll be in London that night, just cannot enter since I live in Germany. And as it seems my sister won't do me the favor to enter the contest.
Else I'll have to hang around to see him at least after the show... ;D
