it roughly translates to "Wolf Festival"... works for me. the songs i've heard sound uplifting and celebratory so it's smart and fitting in many ways.
it's no Boy in the Box, but it will do.

Yeah, it fits well and I LOVE the whole idea in general. (Everyone else wikipedia'd it - right?) But if I say 'Patrick Wolf - Lupercalia' in my head it just doesn't sound right. I'm not sure. Is it definite?

It wasn't the kind of title I was expecting for this album, but it still works for him. :]

I wonder if there's a song called Lupercalia because he always had a song named like the album title.

but wasn't the title suggested to patrick on twitter? to me it seemed that he didn't even know what the meaning exactly was (like me), so i guess there is no lupercalia song unless he change the title of a song already made, or make a new one

New song titles have been released:
"Bermondsey Street" "House" "Slow Motion"
Exciting!

Really exiting ^^ House sounds like it might be simple and sweet, Bermondsey Street sounds plain awesome and Slow Motion sounds quite emotional. Sorry just thinking aloud there, hehe. I might sound like a total idiot but how do your pronounce Lupercalia? SAYlia or KAYlay? Either way, it sounds lovely and iv got a feeling its going to be a great album

^ haven't you heard live versions of above-said new songs yet? they're all on youtube. I might sound like a total idiot but how do your pronounce Lupercalia? SAYlia or KAYlay? I say LuperKAYlia because it was LyKANthropy and not LySANthropy. Not sure if that makes sense. LuperSAYlia doesn't sound right to me.

hmv.com and recordstore.co.uk are taking preorders for a May 30 release. this is the picture of the cover used, fonts are correct but i don't think it's the definitive cover, white with no pictures

Pretty sure that is just a placeholder / promo cover.

^ why, what's wrong with it? I like it! simple, but great fonts which are fitting to each other quite well! I'd say, as far as you asked me, that shall be the real cover! the album title sounds promising to me, kinda back to the roots which i'd really support for the music as well.

No, it isn't the real cover because Patrick has been tweeting about meetings to shoot the actual album art.
Nothing is wrong with it, except a severe case of blandness, it's just not the real cover.

i know, i know you're most probably right with that. Anyway, to me such a blank cover would be so pretty! And the pictures of the photo shooting Patrick was talking about could be totally overexposed on purpose to put them inside of the booklet, still fitting to a blank, white cover.
