2011 is here, THE eagerly awaited year of amazing music! we are not much in yet, but new albums have been released already, of course! i listened to some, but the only one i really liked so far is... anna calvi - anna calvi[/i][/b] rough, melodic, vigorous, gentle, bittersweet. jope, pj harvey and siouxsie related somehow... I DO ENJOY IT! THE BEST IS YET TO COME!

The Strokes!!!! Fleet Foxes! (Rhi thanks for reminding me!) Patrick Wolf I haven't been paying attention to the music scene much lately so I have no idea what may or may not be coming out, so there are probably more I am not even aware of. ETA: I just realized this is not a thread about what albums we're anticipating, but which ones we have lsitened to. I was just following Rhi's post Sorry!

Bright Eyes - The People's Keywww.conoroberst.comDon't know what to think about it yet. Was released today, listened to it 2 times now. I am enjoying it and some songs are just... love! But I sort of miss the old Bright Eyes style and songs like 'First day of my life', Padraic my Prince', 'Lover I don't have to love' or 'False advertising'.

yvonne: Yay, The People's Key. I looooove it. Definitely my best album of 2011 so far (i've already said that but one week's been deleted since haha) And it's nice because they play many old songs on their new tour, they played Padraic, My Prince in Glasgow . Are you going to see them on this new tour?

The first album from Beady Eye. Due to the-thing-that-happens-to-all-albums-these-days I've already listened to it, and let's just say I'm so glad people have no reasons now to talk about them doing-the-Oasis-thing-again-except-it's-shit as they were predicting for over a year. The Lysergic Suite - relatively unknown band, brilliant live, album should be out this spring. Really, really looking forwards to this. www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-gp5lapzi0Kasabian should be having a new album out this year aswell. The only taste so far is a song on London Boulevard soundtrack www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9GlfkD6UA4 And maybe Detroit Social Club will be releasing their second! A new song is just out, I Am The Revolution: www.youtube.com/watch?v=zFm9UbrIOzEAnd then the obvious Patrick Wolf, of course:) All in all, I just yesterday realised after a long while of bleakness and quiet, there finally seems to be so much music to look forwards to within relatively small time.

Yes, I'm going to see them in Cologne I hope they play Padraic my Prince. One of their greatest songs! Do you know "Coyote Song"?

Their best album yet - thrilling and beautiful the whole way through, as well as just a little bit intimidating.

Clare Maguire: Light After Dark (Which I bought last week)
Lady Gaga: Born This Way
Within Temptation: The Unforgiving
Patrick Wolf: Lupercalia
And the 13 year old inside me can't wait for
Britney Spears: Femme Fatale
Avril Lavigne: Goodbye Lullaby (Which is out today!!)
