alec promised to prod patrick about doing more shows like that! he was like 'yeah i'd love to, but you know, it's not only my decision, talk to him *points to patrick*' and i said something like 'ugh but you know, patrick and promises, you gotta take the lead in this' to which he assured me he would i also kindly informed alec when patricks next berlin show will be and that he should make sure to be in berlin that day (previously alec told us his appearance at lido this april was pure luck as he wasn't meant to be in berlin that day, but was, and patrick had only called him in the afternoon to ask if he'd come by) i don't think i've ever been at a show that was equally amazing and funny before. still can't believe all of this happened. hell, i can't believe ANY of this happened. and i wish my babbling and sinalco really didn't happen :X

Back from optimus alive!
It was my first time seeing him and as I'm quite a fanboy I was completely overwhelmed when he first appeared on stage. About the setlist:
- Yellow (vocal intro, Coldplay cover [this because Coldplay were playing at the main stage at the time) - Armistice - House - Time of My Life - Teignmouth intro - Bluebells - The Libertine - To the Lighthouse - The Bachelor - Together - The Magic Position - The City
Bermondsey Street and The Falcons were on the setlist sheet but were not played. Such a shame his set was so short for no reason, since he had plenty of stage time. Afterwards, we waited form him in the backstage area, just to say hi and for him to sign our stuff. All the band members came out and were amazingly friendly with us, mainly Victoria, such a nice lady.
When Patrick was on his way to us, he saw us and went back to leave by another (hidden) exist, and so he did, saying nothing to anyone in a van with his friends. I really don't know what do think of this. -

^ well he's quite shy sometimes, you know...I guess it depends on his mood. He was in a very chatty mood last sunday - it seems he wasn't when you went to see him...which is unfortunate, but oh well, he's only a human being, I wouldn't blame him for that...maybe you have more luck the next time. Better no Patrick than a grumpy Patrick Maybe he had enough of fans after sunday...if so I'm sorry...I guess we've exhausted him a bit poor Pat...

I just uploaded another vid from Traumzeit Festival. It's nothing special, just him talking and fooling around with his iPad, but I hope you enjoy it anyway. I wish there'd be more videos from this gig.

not sure if that fits in here, but according to the ZDF website the melt! festival will not only be shown on german television, there's also a stream: kultur.zdf.de/ZDFde/inhalt/8/0,1872,8245928,00.html it's only a tiny bit of the festival (4 hours), starting at 8pm (which is in 30 minutes) but we hope they're showing patricks set

The recording of the Melt! Festival... www.zdf.de/ZDFmediathek/hauptnavigation/startseite/#/beitrag/video/1387592/Melt!-Festival-2011---Livemitschnitt he's right at the beginning the moderators just talk a bit then you can see Patrick <3 they're babbling sth about how Patrick wouldn't follow their broadcasting hours (the boy's for once not willing to begin later - well that's really sth new) so it starts in the middle of his performance of Damaris...

never thought i'd say that but...
melt < MERA LUNA !!!
i don't know what happened that night, maybe it was the influence of the full moon, the festival's "philosophy" or whatever... i don't care because patrick was just so so bloody brilliant/marvellous/stunning/beautiful/lovely/etcetc ... his voice his voice! it was definitely one of the strongest vocal performances i've ever heard/seen! sometimes i caught myself not breathing, my heart full of unsurpassable joy... i'm sorry if i looked like a stupid happy loon. ♥
_
setlist (inpo):
armistice hard times (alec empire remix) time of my life the bachelor teignmouth bluebells the childcatcher black is the colour damaris tristan vulture together the city wolf song
