I watched your videos & don't think they're shitty at all! I like them. The 'Lou and Health' video reminds me a bit of the 'Sheena is a parasite' one (but it might be just me though =P) +1 for the big wolf T-shirt!

I did post this in the old art thread then no one watched it, then I changed my website so the link was dead. I totally want to re-edit the hell out of this, remove most the captions (they make me cringe a bit) and cut up a few bits. But, here: jadeheritage.co.uk/index.php?/video/my-collection/Candice your videos are very you - I'm not entirely sure if I can explain that any better, I'm tired!

I like both your videos. Jade, your remind me of some scary life-documentary or something and i like the captions are good, especially near the end, i like how it tell a story. I don't really understand it but its really nice!
Patty your Lou and health video is amazing, although a little scary/confusing!

jade your video is hum.... interesting, a bit weird and i feel uncomfortable watching some scenes but i guess that's what you're looking for (disturbing our eyes and thoughts as viewers?) and well voyeurism can be interesting sometimes, the subtitles are totally cool w/ what we (viewers) are looking at and... well interesting work!

No it wasn't me trying to be voyeuristic, but I guess things like this people can construe in their own ways. It is a video collage I had to do for a 'personal cinema' project and I used collected materials to create it, and I improvised with music and used sound recordings to create a narrative. I guess in a way I was interfering with other people so I can see what you mean about voyeurism, but that was not my main focus. I manipulated situations by combining footage/sound i.e. a drunk man on a train chatting about romeo and juliet, using it to introduce my parents having a petty argument, etc. Yes, so slightly uncomfortable, maybe. It is pretty old now, I haven't really uploaded anything else to the internet, ha.

Oh no, I apologise if I came across abruptly, I was typing it in a rush! thank you, I like hearing what people think, we all bring our worlds into everything we see and so there is no such thing as a wrong interpretation.
