Currently listening to Frightened Rabbit on Spotify because my flatmate recommended them; they're really good actually! And mushroom, I'm in love with MK Ultra too I'm loving that Muse never do quite what you're expecting them to do!

Hei thornyking, it is only thanks to you that I can listen and love Ian Cooke! You put his album in the ysi thread ages ago (i am a long time lurker here), I downloaded it and was smitten beyond belief. Thank you SO much ^_^ I can't believe that he isn't more well known as he has buckets of talent and his music is both haunting and comforting. and then some... (a dvd you say? i have to go snoop around for details now)Oh, I'm so glad someone listened! He's a celebrated local act in Denver, but elsewhere he's very obscure. I haven't even been able to see him yet, but sometimes when I sleep, I dream I fly over there and attend a show. I think haunting and comforting describes his music well. The album has been re-issued with a DVD. It has a few live performances, music videos, extra stuff. You can watch "The Rot" here: It's insane but amazing.

I forgot about Ian Cooke! I listened to him a lot about 6 months ago but only on myspace and possibly youtube. Where can I get his album?
And back on topic I am now listening to Ian Cooke though before I was not listening to anything just the silence which was nice because I always have music on.

julian casablancas' solo album. i'm rather impressed considering that i was never too keen on the last strokes album, and normally when people bring out solo albums they're not up to much...but yes, i am liking this a lot.

Don't Do Sadness from the Spring Awakening soundtrack. It's just one of those things I can always go back to.
