oh! I went to one of the best nights ever at the Nuits Botanique festival, here in Brussels. I had chosen to go to the more "folk" event of that night, and I saw three absolutely wonderful bands!!! Clic on their names to acces their MySpace. First: Basia Bulat (Canada) They were 6 onstage, the singer would play the guitar and the autoharp, and there was also a girl playing the ukulele! www.basiabulat.comSecond: Patrick Watson (Canada) He was simply amazing!!!! Him and his band ended the gig playing a song accoustically, simply "among" us (it a small half circle shaped venue) and it was so "waow". The guitarist was also making all sorts of noises with his guitar, like whales chant, using a balloon! www.patrickwatson.net/site_content.phpThird: Loney, dear. (Sweden) The songs were beautiful, with such a voice!!! The room was full of joy and love during his performance... I was sitting on the floor, cross-legged and I couldn't feel any other way than completely drowning in the music... He will be at Sasquatch Festival, Washington www.loneydear.comI eventually bought all the artist's album... Wish I could also have bought some of the t-shirts, ha! But then again, I also need money to pay food LOL!

not sure how much this counts but last night I saw Meatloaf (i work at the manchester arena) and he was fantastic haha, i only got to see about 10mins of him but I saw him play I would do anything for love - my bar was round teh back so it was a dead one. The night before Lionel Richie played...now that was something! Brian Adams on tuesday was dull though

V-Fest Vancouver this coming Sunday/Monday...which I totally forgot about until this morning. I've also forgotten most of the bands that are coming, but I'll for sure be seeing Hot Hot Heat, Metric, You Say Party! We Say Die!, MSTRKRFT, Sebastien Grainger et les Montagnes. The Killers, My Chemical Romance, AFI, Rise Against and some others will be there too, though I'm not big fans of any of them.
And then Patrick on the 25th. YAY.

Beardstock on Saturday, which features Pumajaw and James Blackshaw. King Creosote and Pictish Trail on 25th May. Also, probably The Aliens and Jo Foster on 16th June.
