I have a big floppy hat and dungarees. No tan but that's because I am the palest person in the world and plan to keep that title.

I know paler people. I was going to get dungarees but then we might just look like the same person, except one of us had put a wig on.

summer is the season which strips me of the majority of my wardrobe. i wish it were winter. [/bitter] But doesn't that feel so FREEING?! It does for me. Summer, cut up shorts, baggy tees, sandals, and frizzy hair in braids all season long, IT FEELS SO GOOD TO NOT CARE. Also I love humidity/heat. I spend so many months here wanting to cry because its too cold. I love summer for amusement parks and bon fires and pools and lounge-y movie days when it rains. Also I am pretty damn pale myself and don't tan easily. We should all post pictures of our forearms and determine by voting who takes the title.

Does tanning really DO anything besides make people go "ZOMG ur TANNED!" for a few days? If tanning gave someone power over life and death or something cool like that, I'd be a little more bothered by my inability to do so. But as it stands, I'm happy with my whiteness.

The pressure to have fun during summer is just so colossal that all I want to do is sit in the corner of my room and read a very dull and depressing book. But to still wear a floaty dress whilst doing so because I do love dresses.
Also, whoever is the palest person here I want to get it on with you.

Does tanning really DO anything besides make people go "ZOMG ur TANNED!" for a few days? Exposure to the sun releases happy chemicals in your brain, having a tan makes it easy to wear light and bright colours without looking pasty and washed out I guess that many of you will be spending your warm summer days indoors?

Sounds like there's nothing tanning can do that a nice piece of chocolate and some dark accents on your clothing can't. I'm unconvinced! Lawrence, I don't think I've EVER been to London and not been a sweaty betty. We can... um... be sweaty together? I'm trying to spin it in a way that doesn't sound gross, but basically, yeah, we're going to be sweaty together.
