^ haha . might be true. yeah.. it's quite simple, sounds fun and even could be done in time but .. hm, I dont' want to be the spoilsport. Still I don't think that it's a good solution for a community. How would you make sure that everyone who wants can participate, where's the personal note(lol..) and what would you like to do with the photos + matching dulux name? just print them? no.

no. don't take this idea back Anna . It was funny sry but somehow I have a fixation with building a kite so.. We could also use your idea for this as follows: the dulux palette shows half squares of each colour. We could use the matching half square to Patrick's haircolour and paint them in a graphic desin on the kite - maybe in a chronological order? We could call it 'Your history (in colour)'. I'm also referring with this to the first Album cover in b/w against what the covers today are all colourful. Or let's take whole squares and make a design that looks like a lot of pixels like here. Do you get my idea? .. we can also use something else instead of a kite. We could print the pattern on a pillow or on a scarf.

'Your history (in colour)' sounds like a great idea. Everyone can do a different thing (kit pillow mug balaclava) with different colours (maybe for each era, like bachelor had lots of creams and greeny tones and TMP was red and blue and gold)

it would be helpful to know how many want to participate because in case we were enough we could use the singles from each era for a list of colours; one song per person or if we're more a small group per song? yes.. then it would be a song thing again but colours per era might be too vage. For example in the video of A&E the mint green sequined shirt was quite dominant but not at all in the TMP video. And Hard Times could be (following the cover) mostly red or as in the video black and white plus neon colours, I'd prefer the latter . so, this is just yet another suggestion. We can keep it as well to creating things for a phase in general and everyone can choose on wich colours he specifies but having a certain song from an age in mind could make it easier. eta: basically I'd say for TMP-era: all colours of the rainbow+glitter

why don't you just make a MASSIVE birthday card (just a huge plain piece of card) and then send it around to everyone like a round robin and everyone can add a message and decorate it however they like? simple, yet creative, might be done quicker than whatever is being proposed (i'm lost too).
you can always do the kite thing later on since it will take longer.

Sending it around would take a very long time! Not to mention might be expensive because of the size of the card, especially overseas.
I do like the idea of a card... given dimensions everyone could do a square and then someone could paste them all in, in a central location?
The kite seems like a great idea too!
