This is a great idea, I don't think it'll be possible to please us all though. Probably like most people, I wouldn't be able to afford to go really far, but like Sibz I'm in London so it's easy for me to say COME TO LONDON.

I agree with Thailand. Or, you know, you could all come to the beautiful city of San Francisco... (Take lots of photos! And have fun. )

Maybe we should set up a little money pot?
Like, if it's held in London, for Londoners or those local to London contribute some pennies to help the people that are way further away and would have to spend more money to get there...?

I'm pretty sure we should have it in Chiang Mai, Thailand, actually. The weather's great there this time of year. And my tan isn't just going to work on itself... Plus.. ladyboys, always a bonus.

The redshirt vs government battle is so nice to be there for as well.... --- I feel sad that I will most likely miss this, cause I am in Sweden most of the summer and towards the end I am going to the US. I mean, fun stuff, but still, shame. If only I'd known that I was getting some extra munies earlier I wouldn't be so bound to home and work.

London would be okay, I think. It depends how much train tix are, and if I can con a friend into going with me. It's that or bring my mother. Also, I'd have to get permission. Pah. That may be harder than it sounds. Despite belonging to her own online rowing forum, and meeting random people from that is competitions and stuff, my mother upholds that every single other person on the internet is a paedophile child molester.

Rosie, does your mum happen to read the Daily Mail? Not saying that that approach isn't the safest and probably best, but...I met my girlfriend through wolfboard...

Hmm, I'm not sure? Why? If she does, only online, she never buys newspapers... And I know it's probably the safest approad to the internet, but... I just thinks she takes it too far. I talk to a friend of a friend online, and he's a perfectly nice guy, but she frowns upon it because I've never actually met him. Grr.

Wolfies are the best type of internet people!.. although parents overreaction to meeting people from The Internet is quite understandable. I wish my schedule and budget allowed for a little vacation this year but unfortunately not

ah Rosie, I sympathize. Wolfboarders are indeed the best sort of people, as Victoria said. It's just too bad nobody who isn't a member here is able to make the distinction. I get your frustration, but I get her anxiety as well. It's a sticky subject. My teenage years were filled with this very debate, as my social life was fairly largely internet-based... Ahhh memories.

^Hehehe, I agree, you guys are the best kind of internet people. Maybe if I wait for the right time to ask, with all information on travel, times, places, etc, she will be considerate. I hope so, atleast! It'd be awesome to meet some of you guys.

If you happen to be able to arrange a stay at a wolfboarder's house, say, vinyl, you can have her call your mum and give all the details etc...bla bla bla
