i didnt know the new lightspeed champion album was out! Exciting.
The only new album i've listened to this year has been Heartland, but what an album!
I'm looking forward to a new Bright Eyes album that will apparently come out autumn/fall

Sometimes, when I think about the new Robyn album, I feel sick with excitement...
She's been flogging Robyn for about four years, lazy cow.

I've bought two albums recently: Two Door Cinema Club - Tourist History: REALLY good, some amazing tunes that i think will fill my summer nicely. However, the song format is very repetitive and the lyrics aren't overly complex or interesting. Still, loads of fun. dan le sac vs Scroobius Pip - The Logic of Chance: A bit disappointed by this. Just not as good, in terms of both music and lyrics, as the previous one. Too much beat/bass on the music and not as interesting lyrically either. Too much preaching about 'the state of Britain/I can change and revolt as a young person!', which gets boring when it's the message of almost every single song. Still, there's some good songs in the form of Cauliflower, Five Minutes and Last Train Home.

Inlets - Inter Arbiter This sir has the most beautiful quavering vocals. I knew about him because he has played on My Brightest Diamond records, but his recordings have more rough edges and the compositions more twists and turns. Also, since I think there are a lot of Beirut fans here: Zach Condon plays on the record, aye? Cathy Davey - The Nameless She has such a sticky-sweet tone to her voice that is almost childlike, despite the darkness in some songs. I thought the demos for this album were too similar in arrangement, but enough tweaking was done to sound pleasantly varied. I'm a bit unsure about the strings for "Army of Tears"-- I absolutely adore the song and the lyrics, but I'd like if the strings were more adventurous. At times they sound so tight and slick they could be synthetic.
