Cheerio, Michael. xxx I do apologise for going slightly off topic here, but is it me or does Hitlerella look terribly like Eddie Izzard? I have a boner for the both of them... Probably shouldn't admit that sort of thing in public. Cheerio, Michael. xxx

I never understand the general objection to "swear words". It's not an objection to swear words. I fucking love swear words. It's an objection to the word in question because people - and when I say people, know that I general mean 13 - 14 year old people who tend to make two or three posts, throwing the word around because they can't get into a show or nobody understands them or whatever - overuse it like nothing else. It's just... unseemly. I hope that, in my own small way, I am encouraging people to be more colourful in their hate and anger. Feel free to fight the powers as much as you want on this one. It will never change. Cheerio, Michael. xxx Mm, that's perfectly reasonable. I don't really care if it's changed or not, it's not a word I use particularly often. Though, can I put in a request to have the "female reproductive organ" changed? To "flower of womanhood" or "Richard Littlejohn"?

The word in question should be changed to "flower of womanhood".
And when "Richard Littlejohn" is typed it should be replaced with "female reproductive organs". Because we can't have a Wolfboard without "female reproductive organs". But I'm sure we can all manage without Richard Littlejohn.

But to be honest Richard Littlejohn doesn't really come up in conversation THAT much now does he?

As a matter of principle more than anything else.
My, how right-on and liberal we all are!

My, how right-on and liberal we all are! Other than me, I'm so right wing I consider Richard Littlejohn a dirty hippie pinko.

Ahah.
THE BEST Daily Mail/Littlejohn title: "The Fascist Left have turned the Nanny State into the Bully State!"
...
I'm still struggling with the concept of the "Fascist Left", personally.

Ahah. THE BEST Daily Mail/Littlejohn title: "The Fascist Left have turned the Nanny State into the Bully State!" ... I'm still struggling with the concept of the "Fascist Left", personally. hhaaa thats hilariously whiny and juvenile. I'm not sure about Fascist but modern Liberalism can be quite repressive, like those idiots who believe the BNP should be closed down or all those minority organisations who covertly promote a pro-censorship agenda in the media. Political correctness is not as big a problem as the right wing press makes it out to be, but it is no doubt a problem in our society. It plays right into the rights hands as well, that what annoys me about it. But yeah ignore me, I'm not really right wing, I'm probably split about 50/50 down the middle between Liberal and Libertarian views so basically I'm a Libertarian without any balls or a angry, disgruntled Liberal. I can't believe I once called myself a fucking Socialist in this forum..ba.

I wish I understood more about politics. I might take it in sixth form, but I want to take photography too, and you can't do both.
Just thought I'd throw that in there.

Oh, but I have! (how did you guess?) In my citizenship class, whilst I was supposed to be doing something else. But as is always the way with wikipedia, I end up going round and round in circles, or just go off on a tangent and either way miss the whole point.

I suggest the book "An Introduction to Political Philosophy", I can't remember who it's by but it's part of a series of "Introduction to..." books. It's great, it gives you the proper basics, though it's a shame it doesn't link with modern issues more. Despite the (very strange) cartoons, it is pretty theoretical, so if you're more interested in like NOW! Politics just read more newspapers or listen to Radio 4.

But photography is so much prettier.

Don't read newspapers. I loathe newspapers they're all so sickeningly biased towards either the left or right. Radio 4 is alright, it has a bias towards the left slightly but its tolerable.

I'm so glad I've got a few more years to decide between photography and politics.
And coincidentally, I just started politics today in my citizenship class. As a proper 'unit'. Except my teacher wasn't there again, we didn't actually do any work and so technically didn't start politics. But somewhen in the near future...
