I chew on my fingers/fingernails if I don't have something "productive" (i.e., knitting/doodling) to do.
I also rearrange things ever so slightly (switch sugar and flour cannisters and the like) in my extremely OCD mother's FUCKING fdfghjkKITCHEn
and I also have a used book problem- most of the time I can't even go into the used book stores, lest I end up writing a rather large check for a box of books that "looked sad" that I have no intention of reading. Ever. And instead just keep and prevent other people from reading there (most excellent, I'm sure) pages.

If you think smoking's nasty why do it? I wouldn't smoke if I didn't like it. I like it. But it is nasty. You could say "why do you do it" to pretty much every "habit" in this thread so stop being so fucking petty

I asked you because people claim smoking's nasty a lot, but not normally people who WANT to smoke. Apologies for being interested in the reasons behind your opinions Luke.

Can I make the obvious joke? That's a NAAAAAASTY HABIT. Erm. Personally I'm mad at myself for getting into the habit of waking up after 2pm. Do NOT want.

I always have a chewing gum in my mouth. Everyday! Every minute! Ok maybe not while eating something, or while sleeping... but the rest of the day xD
something else: I hate it to floor a bottle. I always leave a bit in it. Don't know why but I think it's disgusting to drink something which was in the bottle for such a long time xD

I also have a habit of bringing up bad conversational topics. For example, the Baby-In-A-Jar that I REALLY WANT from Paxton Gate. Seriously, it's a baby in a jar. No it's not totally real but it looks cool and it's $500. Cool, huh? By this point whoever I am talking to is as gone as their social manners will allow. Fetus for sale! It's art.

Banging my toothbrush in the side of the sink exactly twice every time i use it, always jamming the senond piece of toast, clicking my fingers (as in the sound, not the body function) rubbing my neck when i'm stressed Orange juice addiction
and finally... when i'm tired, i start blinking alot and then, i can't be bothered to open my eyes so i just walk around with my head kinda tilted upwards and my eyes shut. This especially happens in the morning. Everyone gets SO annoyed by it, but i can't help it.

i have the not exactly nasty habit of having to be at the very back of a group if we're walking somewhere. I hate talking to people who are walking behind me, so i have to be able to see everyone otherwise it's way too unnerving :/
also, drawing grids and chequerboard shapes everywhere if i have a pen in my hand

I'm like Naomi, I can't sit properly. As a result anyone near me usually gets my feel on them, or me lying in their lap, or between their legs etc.
I'm a bit like a cat in my obnoxious pursuit of comfort.

Whenever my friends are eating some sort of food that I really like/am craving/whatever, I have this terrible habit of just reaching into their bag, taking out some popcorn or cookies or whatever, and then asking "can I have some of these?" Even though I've already taken some and am holding it in my hand... I guess I just get so excited about what they're eating and I assume since they're my friends they'll let me have some anyway but it's still rude.
I also either twirl or roll my pens down my desk (this usually makes an obnoxious noise) during class when I'm bored.
