Hey but Tove plasticheaven has its own problems, you know. That shit never goes away. There's this massive sector of the ocean where the percentage of plastic particles in the water is higher than that of the natural elements. I dunno, I phrased that badly. It was in Vice and it was scary.
It is difficult to be alive.

yeah I know, said so as well. But I do think that plastic can be recycled in other ways then an actuall living thing. I guess that plastic is a bigger problem for the enviorment then a 50+ motorcycle driver in a pair of leatherpants, but at the same time he can be wrong... it is two different things, ethical and evironmental, which also can be connected to each other. I cant say either: "you shall all wear cotton t shirts and woolensocks" cos then there is a poor fellow in china sitting with clothespegs onto his eyelashes to keep himself awake and poof it's suddenly about humanrights. It cant be one without the other, so I dont think there is really a right and wrong. its about what you intend to focus on

i'm vegetarian and have been for about three years now. i chose not to eat meat at first because i thought it was cruel to kill animals etc. however now that i'm a bit older, i understand and agree that not eating meat won't prevent as many animals being killed. the reason i'm still vegetarian is that because i've not eaten meat in so long, the idea of it sort of repulses me, i think it looks disgusting and it freaks me out a little that it once used to move. i don't try and convert people, it would annoy me if i wasn't vegetarian, and i hate it when people try and force their views on you.

i've been veggie for a year and a half now. i was inspired to mostly from a conversation i had with two vegan friends; after the conversation i realised i couldn't justify, in my opinion, killing an animal just to satisfy my hunger when there was so many healthier, better ways of doing so. I'm not very passionate about it though, i wear leather and i have absolutely no desire to become vegan - despite thinking they're more 'in the right' than i am, morally et cetera.
I'd just like to point out that a vegan lifestyle is not about COMPLETELY shutting yourself off from animal products, it's about ENDEAVOURING to be as animal-friendly AS POSSIBLE, which isn't always easy in this day and age.

i just hate it when people, after finding out i'm a vegan, go on about how they love meat and how they've been in farms and have plucked chickens or smth I DONT CARE! seriously, do they think that's gonna change me? i just dont want to eat anything animal related, i dont shame others for eating animals, it's their choice, my choice is not to i'm not trying to change anyone, so don't try to change me

Geez, some of you. Get yourselves new fucking friends. REASONABLE people go, "oh, all right," not "HEATHEN! I WILL CHASE YOU FROM MY VILLAGE WITH CHICKEN DRUMSTICKS!" Don't judge all of us carnivores because of it.
On the other hand, it's sort of unfair to get angry at people for professing how much they like meat after you tell them about your life choice. People talk about themselves. It's kinda how a lot of conversations advance. They're not necessarily trying to change you. They're just as self-centred as you are.
