I'm really interested in what people use it FOR; I work in education and occasionally music (sort of) and am trying to find a use for it in the former - for the latter it just seems like Heat magazine but distilled to your own tastes - i.e. taste-specific gossip / tidbits of info (assuming musicians you like use it).

^I must confess I only use it for stalking musicians. That's how bad I am

I am a big cliche, initially skeptical of Twitter (it's just facebook statuses!) but I love it now. At the end of the day it encourages communication and interaction and brings up occasional interesting stuff to read so tis all good. twitter.com/TheWynne Here is me, there's a nice community of Wolfies and ex-wolfies on there.

I also have twitter: twitter.com/lanaroI mostly got it to stalk Stephen Fry, which I figure is as god a reason as any. Also have a few friends on it etc. Though now I have it I never know whether to post little things I want to say on there or facebook...

I've found myself stalking a few people on it this week, so I've decided to sign up to make it easier to follow them. This being said I probably won't update 'what I'm doing', but I like time-wasters, so maybe once in a while!
Notes: - I'm already annoyed from requests to follow by spammers - I can't seem to upload a photo at all. None. I've tried like 8... resizing, different file types (of the ones allowed) ...

There's a Facebook application which links up the two; just post in Twitter and it appears as your FB status too.

Which application? Though I would feel sorry for everyone who has me on both having to read my non-important comments twice. Also, I'm going to follow all of you so you better start saying interesting and exciting things

twitter.com/jadeheritagepsh, talk about an obvious screen name, clearly I lack the creativity. Mostly I just follow Ed Droste and Owen Pallett, haha. And a few music-y things like Said The Gramophone. I did have Stephen Fry but he overdid it and I got bored. I don't really update, I deleted loads because they were just conversations, and I realised I could just send them messages, haha. May have to add you all later.

Stephen Fry just filled my page on Twitter, so I got rid of him.

Stephen Fry does post a lot but I just do selective reading of my tweets.

I don't want to be averse to things simply because they're new and trendy, but I really regret having a facebook now. Once I started, it became harder and harder to stop because my friends expected me to have one. I feel that if I were to get a Twitter, people would become upset if I deleted my account. And if I don't delete my account, I KNOW I will addictively use it forever and thus want to delete it. :/ I am sure it's very helpful when stalking people, though. And also even sharing little pieces of information or jokes or sentiments, which may not be so bad. However, I'm not really into acting very important. I don't really think my life is very worth "following." And then I work myself into these anxious states of uncertainty. Ah, I feel like this little text box is all very unimportant, too.

Oh, what? I had no idea. I though you were just some cool random person. Technically I still am, though maybe I'd scratch the cool part. I loathe facebook so I am unable to tell you why i find twitter better perhaps because its easier to maintain a sense of anonymity? Perhaps, or perhaps because no one has gotten to the stage yet where they say "don't forget to add me on twitter" makes me ill.
