^ OH. I just mentioned 'This Is England' in the other thread, but yeah, I admit it made me cry too. It's just so real, especially for me because i'm in a kinda culture that's very similar.

tell me about it... i grew up in govan in glasgow, right next to the "bigot bowl" ibrox stadium. lot of sectarian trouble round there, which has a lot of similarities to the whole nationalist beliefs of the skinheads. despite being set a good 20-30 years ago, it's got so much relevance to today, i think that's what makes it so hard hitting...brilliant film

The last film that made me cry was 'Hunger'. Cry in the way that it was horrific and upsetting in every way, intense scene after intense scene; you barely have time to really process whatever disgusting/nasty/violent/sad thing you've seen before the next comes along. It also made me feel sick. I'm not sure I could watch it again but it is a really good film, saying all that.

Last night I tried to watch The Pianist. The last time I tried to watch it I failed after about 5 minutes because it was too distressing, but I stuck with it last night for about 90 minutes. Still had to stop watching it though- its the only film I've never been able to finish. Anyway, this evening I saw Philadelphia and cried quite a lot. It's so fantastic- the opera scene was so emotional! Gah, I loved it.

Ed Wood. That bit where Martin Landau and Johnny Depp are walking down the driveway and Landau is like "When are we going to make another movie?". Yeah sad, desperate old people make me cry.

UGGGHGHH I LOOOOVE Ed Wood. It never made me cry, but it's one of the most wonderful films ever to me. My favorite part is when he meets Orson Welles in the bar and as a revelation. That friggin INSPIRES me.
I watched Milk a couple weeks ago and that made me cry a lot. I loved it.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. I saw it yesterday and I cried for the final twenty minutes or so (and there even wasn't a proper reason for it) which means I loved the film. I'm definitely going to read Fitzgerald's story.

I cried at Pan's Labyrinth the other day. Such a bittersweet ending, and such a cathartic film.

no movie has ever made me cry as much as Into The Wild did. the first time i watched it i couldnt stop crying afterwards. but it still a brilliant movie.
The last film that made me cry was actually Schindler's List, i watched it during the holocaust memorial day last week.

Watched Green Mile the other week and cried a lot, but mostly when Mr Jingles got stood on. Saying that, most films make me cry! Fox and the Hound, Edward Scissor Hands, Watership Down =C

1. Lord of the Flies (1963) 2. Equilibrium 3. Moulin Rouge.
1. Just wow. I couldn't decide if I was crying out of outrage and frustration or misery or all of the above. Definitely wasn't the good kind of crying.
2. Loved the ending to this film. Love the entire film, actually. HUMAN PASSION CONQUERS ALL!
3. The ending. I've seen this movie so many times, but I always end up thinking, "Of course. They just had to destroy any shot at happiness for the wonderfully naive and innocent poet. Fuck you, Baz."
