I like Public Enemy, but that's about it. I've never really been into rap, it just doesn't appeal. I've been meaning to look up Saul Williams though. WHAT ALBUM SHOULD I START WITH, HMM?

I love Lauryn Hill too, and the Fugees.
I also love Talib Kweli, Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, Jay-Z, Rhymefest, and anything the Neptunes have ever touched which Pharrell hasn't rapped on.

I don't really like Hip-Hop amazingly much. But for some reason I keep trying to get into it.
I like a bit of old skool, Run DMC, NWA, the classics, and erm I like Jay-Z and Outkast, pretty accessible stuff for a white boy indie kid I guess. Kanye's the same but he gets on my tits.
Ohh one rap album I really liked with Deltron 3030 self titled effort, came out in about 2000 I think? Anyway it was good.

Every so often I get the urge to listen to Liquid Swords by GZA but that's about as far as my liking for rap goes.

I'm not much into the rap scene, and my knowledge about it is zero, but I do like Outkast and Beastie Boys. And even though it's not rap-rap, I love Why? Yoni Wolf is a fine little man, and Elephant Eyelash is fab.

I like rap, but I don't like what mainstream rap has become. Back in the day yo, it was, for the most part, about actual social issues and suchforth. It was about coming from a working class background in poor areas, and now...I can't stand the sight of the arrogant tosswanks prancing about covered in platinum, pointing and laughing at the rest of us about how we don't have as much money or as many bitches as they do. But it's all good, because they're still Jenny from the block or whatever.
I love me some De La Soul. And NWA.
