Why was there no Interpol Thread??? Anyway, here it is! They're going to play in Cologne in November but I cant afford the ticket at the moment. I can't believe how much it is!!! But I will manage to see them again. I will I will I will. Besides, lots of my friends think that Interpol are boring. ;D

I'm with your friends on this one.. Yes, they've got the right idea. They were bad enough at the start yet with every new single they seem to plunge even deeper into the depths of banality.

interpol are good, but the guy's voice gives me a huge headache after 3 songs in a row. but i really really like "slow hands", "the heinrich maneuver", and "no i in threesome". the article about them in august's SPIN is brilliant. (patrick's in that issue too!)

no... the jack boots, the red armband, the overall style. He even described his style as "nazi chic"

well then...alright. sorry. but im actually german and a bit sensitive when it comes to this topic... Most Germans (understandably..) are. But seriously I reckon the time has come for y'all to relax about it now. Shameful blood soaked page in your nations history? Yes. But its no worse than some of the things the British Empire did during colonisation or Americas own holocaust of its indigenous people. Hell nearly every country has some sort of evil in its past. Some of the laws in Germany like that you can get locked up for making a Nazi salute and quite how much of a taboo/sore spot this to Germans seem pretty mad to me. No offense but Germans can be well such Nazi's when it comes to Nazism. Oh and Carlos D DOES look like a Nazi. I don't think they're anything wrong with admitting that Nazi uniforms etc look pretty cool on an aesthetic level. In case you didn't notice it was ideas and human beings that slaughtered all those millions of people not hair and clothes..

Fun is probably not the right word. I meant it in the way that its fun to go see a band you liked alot when you were younger but not so much anymore. For example I have loved The Strokes since before they were 'cool' and vaugly emo and started putting out really fucking awfull records (FIOE). However I went to see them on their last tour and it was probably the best gig ive ever been to. Just because I got completely lost and let go and had the most fun ive ever had at a gig. Though for me I dont think Interpol will be quite on the same level as that I do think I will enjoy their old stuff when they play it. Anyay if its really crap I can always just walk home since its just up the road!
(I dont like Carlos' tache though....My dad has a tache....I dont like mustaches!)

aaaa lucky you! the tickets are shockingly expensive arent they? They weren't too bad. About £25 each I think, which is only a fiver more than when they last played here, and they've become more well known since then so I was expecting them to be about that.
