Really? It's funny because that track stands out for me the most. That and E is for estranged. I love it but I also love the remix.

In other Owen-related stuff today, it's official that me and my friend are playing our own arrangement of 'This Lamb Sells Condos' for a flute duet at our city's music festival in April. Got the official okay through an email from Patrick (Borjal) this afternoon. I'm so excited! Oh cool! I'm playing This Lamb Sells Condos and Many Lives at my music school show in March. Do I have to send him an e-mail? People don't have to pay anything to watch us but I don't know, now that I see you sent and e-mail I realised I may have problems? The Simon Bookish remix is quite nice =) Oh and The Great Elsewhere makes me want to run. But I don't run often so I'd look like a complete idiot running with my bagpack in the street while going to school.

I think you should be fine, my music teacher just said that the adjudicators for the festival I'm playing in would probably care about copyright stuff and that it would be good to have an email to give them just in case. Performing it at a free show wouldn't be a problem I don't think? (If you do send an email though, I got a really fast response. And I love that remix, I've been listening to it so much recently. I like the original song a lot too, but it's great to have an electro-ed version.

I saw Owen last night and it was INCREDIBLE. Heartland sounds really really good live, and it was great to see it from the very front! Owen and Thomas are hilarious, I was laughing so hard pretty much the whole way through. And after the show (and after some hesitation) we ended up just walking into the backstage area, and talked with Owen for a bit. (!!!!!) He's so friendly and hilarious, it's great. I'm still sooooooooooooooooooooo happy.

awww.. that actually sounds like a good show:). I wish to see him play live one day. well, just checked his website and... OMG! He's coming to Germany in a few weeks. ahhhhhhhh!! whoooooo hoooooooooooo. I'm absolutely going at least to one concert. Closest city would be Frankfurt. Why doesn't he come to cologne? Then I could use my students ticket for the train...mh. Hahahaa.. and I could repeat my hilarious trip to the Botanique in Brussels like I did for Patrick last year. I have to get tickets. is anybody else going to his concert in Frankfurt or Munich? ETA: concert in frankfurt will be seated?!

Mine was seated and I was unsure about that at first, but I wouldn't have had it any other way. The audience was really respectful and just got to enjoy the music without being annoyed by being shoved or off-key loud singing.
I'm listening to all of Owen's albums over and over again, haha. And I can't stop looking at my copy of Heartland (Owen signed it for me) or the picture we ended up getting with him. Obsessive mode? Just kind of. The show was soooo good though.

I've been to a couple seated FF shows and I find it much more suitable to his performances than standing. It's not like people dance or anything.

I have some surprisingly good quality mp3s from the Union Chapel show that I can upload when I get internet back.

It's not like people dance or anything. I don't see why not! I was dancing very defiantly at his show, although I was likely the only one. Regardless, I insist that his music is totally danceable!

Haha, I certainly do try! There are a few tracks that conquer me (ahem, Mount Alpentine?) but I feel strongly about dancing as much as possible whenever possible.

Same here, Tara, I dance at everything. However, when I saw him in January I was one of the few people doing so, and by the end of the show I felt kind of silly and switched to quietly swaying.
eta: Final Fantasy is also excellent workout music.

Yes! to both of the above. I find that 'Lewis Takes Off His Shirt' is exceptionally good motivation when on the elliptical machines. ;D

I love listening to it while walking home too. It makes getting through lots of snow more bearable.

This Lamb Sells Condos makes me do little funny tippy toe dancing steps.
