It's a really beautiful church, fairly large but all seated(pews). My primary school used to do the Christmas plays there Also, are people meeting up beforehand? If there's a good group of Wolfies going might be worth going for a drink

Well I'm going by myself therefore that sounds appealing to me. See what others say! Otherwise I'm sure we'll all bump into each other there, if I'm not too much of a wimp to say hello. I'm such a wimp.

Now that I've had near a week to listen to the album, I can honestly say it is the greatest thing everrrrr. Still, I have favourite tracks:
Midnight Directives Lewis Takes Action The Great Elsewhere Oh Heartland, Up Yours! Lewis Takes Off His Shirt E Is for Estranged Tryst With Mephistopheles*
*probably my favourite, and yes, I know I named more than half the album.
Have fun at the show Londoners! (Londonians? Londonites?)

Review of Heartland in the Sunday Times today. They gave it four stars, said it was a masterpiece and stuff. I think it didn't get five cause it said it was a bit overblown in places, whatever that is referring to...

Oooh also, Jars of Lars really confuses me. I love the instrumental part and the vocal part but the lyrics are just "whaaat?". I was thinking about these lyrics earlier today on the bus! Strange. I do believe that Jars of Lars used to be a Les Mouches song - they're Owen's old band, and none of their lyrics make sense so that's probably why.

I love les mouches, in fact now you've reminded me, I might dig out the old cd's I have somewhere, as I don't have them on my laptop. Thanks

And now you have inspired me to have a listen to them! Haha.
I never really liked Les Mouches as much as I'd like to like them, if that makes sense. I love Carload Of Whatever, and Spalding Man is pretty awesome, but some of the other tracks (on the album I have) try my patience a bit.
I don't know if that's just me, but it's almost that the little experimental-instrumental parts go on for too long and I get frustrated/bored. And lyrics really don't make sense :PI think you have to be 'in the mood' for them, wheras I'm always in the mood to listen to Final Fantasy... Carload Of Whatever blasting full-volume out of speakers is the best, though.

I LOVE CARLOAD OF WHATEVER. That's probably my favourite. I think it stands out the most. But I can't remember names of other songs, probably because that one gets listened to so much. I know what you mean though it is very raw and the recordings aren't particularly clear, I think if the recordings were clearer the instrumental parts may be more enjoyable.

There was a time when I listened to "Fault of Mine" on repeat but I haven't been drawn to listening to Les Mouches...

Oh I can only join you lot in the Les Mouches love.
There is quite a nice pub called The Library across the road from the Union Chapel, I shall kill some time and braincells there before the gig, so yeah. Good place for a meet up if anyone is up for it.

The Library's rubbish. We're meeting up in the Famous Cock, next to High&I station (immediately on the right as you leave)
