No I'm not. I have school and I don't live anywhere near London. AND it's my friend's birthday that day...
I saw him in Manchester last year and he was spectacular. Hopefully I'll see him again in this alleged European tour in March that has yet to be announced. I went to my first gig alone last month. It was fine. Sometimes you'll make conversation with other people there or sometimes you'll just stand like a loner. Whatever, it's only the waiting around before that you need someone to talk to for.

I agree with that about going alone! ^^ But you can meet people at concerts, I got to meet lots of really nice people at the PW gig I went to last October. I'm meeting up with people (I think...XD) for Owen's gig in Paris but I don't know at what time they're going to be there yet =/. I don't want to have to wait 4 hours by myself in the cold :/. Still....seeing Owen in 2 weeks exactly!

There was a big article about Owen in the paper today, and it was on a page that had a huge ad for a television show called "Heartland" L O L
Sadly in the article Owen said he probably won't be scoring the film he's been working on because of the time constraints put on him plus touring..
I'm going on Tuesday! TUESDAY!!! I am so excited!!

Oh I don't have words to describe how and how much I love the musical babies of Owen Pallet (both because I skeekee bad engrish and because the feelings are all strong and fuzzy etcetc)
I'll be going to the London gig as well, I am really happy that it is in the Union Chapel again as last time was just so sooo beautiful. I'm going alone as well so feel free to poke me for a chat Jade (or should I call you jadeface? The face of Jade?) But I agree with the people above, gigging alone is fun and you do mostly meet and get chatting to randomers (even though at the last FF gig I only talked to the incredibly lovely merch lady who gave me a free poster because I forgot my money at home. SO Merch Lady, if you are reading this then THANK YOU!)

Haha, 'the face of Jade' made me laugh out loud. Well I wouldn't know you if I saw you but say hello if you see me, I tend to look PETRIFIED or confused immediately if someone taps me on the shoulder, just a warning in case you find me unapproachable.

The show was amazing!
I figure the rest of the shows won't have the same openers, though, which is too bad! The night started with a comedy act and then Diamond Rings (w/ special guest Gentleman Reg who I love!), and then Owen.
I wasn't sure what to expect as far as the guitarist/percussionist addition, but he was excellent. Added just enough to the show and didn't take away from Owen being 'the star' but was still very much part of the act. Plus it allowed for backup singing and whistling.
My favourites of the night were Lewis Takes Off His Shirt, Keep the Dog Quiet, This Lamb Sells Condos, and The Great Elsewhere, but really, the show was excellent excellent. And they even played a new song, after the era of Heartland.
I have a video that I'm currently uploading (taking forever), and a photo or two so I'll edit this post later.

Ooooh I love singing along at concerts but I can't see myself doing that at Owen's concerts XD. I hope we'll get some guitars/percussion! Can't wait to see the pictures, the video looks awesome!

I meant backup singing as in his guitarist was singing. FF crowds are always very well behaved, one of the reasons I enjoy going to his shows haha... I hate having to put up with crap from rowdy audiences. In my excitement about the show I forgot to say anything about HEARTLAND! I bought it last night and it is fantastic! I can't properly express how much I like it and what I like about it yet, though. I thought all the albums were going to be redone as Owen Pallett but I was happy to see that my copy is printed as Final Fantasy. I wonder if they'll have new prints for the international shows? Here are a couple photos (I only took a few, and the girls in front of me kept moving in the way ):

Thanks for the photos and video, Victoria! I'm seeing him tomorrow and am SO EXCITED, eee! And I can't wait to buy the LP + merch, if he has any. The new album blows me away, I love it so much. I've listened to it dozens of times already (downloaded the leak) and can't believe there's still so much to hear and consider and appreciate with each listen and reading of the lyrics. ♥ ♥ ♥

A new convert (I decided it was about time) so I got He Poos Clouds off the Albums of the Decade thread and Florence has sent me some. I think I will grow to love it all a LOT, although it hasn't overtly moved me yet (but that is a feat achieved by few, so don't worry!)

Ooh yay I'm trying to work out which album/ep is my favourite? The only ep that I have is Spectrum, 14th Century and although I liked it I don't think it's my fave. So that one is the 'least' although I still love it, then I reckon He Poos Clouds/Has a Good Home are sort of on the same level because they are so different. And to me Heartland will be at the top, after listening to most of the songs now I am really impressed. I'm still waiting for my CD to arrive so once I give it a proper listen I can decide fully. But it feels like Heartland is a combination of the things I loved about Has a Good Home and He Poos Clouds put together.

Oooh right, sorry I misunderstood XD. I'm seeing him in 10 daaaays . I finally understood what the beginning of This is the Dream of Win and Regine was. I had to make my violin teacher listen to it to find out haha XD. I knew before that he "hits" the violin with the bow but then the sound is distorted but it's actually the sound reversed. That made my day XD.
