well i haven't been to very many at all but so far i would say Mastodon in June this year, hahaha
support act 1 was mediocre, support act 2 were called Valient Thorr and it was fucking hilarious, clearly were just pissing about and having a laugh, then Mastodon was BROOOTAL they performed the entirety of Crack the Skye and then some other HITS. cause we were near the front and i am quite small i kept getting stood on but luckily i was able to use my boyfriend as a human shield so that wasn't too traumatic, tbh it made it a lot more fun. there were also lots of air-guitaring twats who made the experience that bit more entertaining. however at the end of the night my shoes were really sticky on the bottom which was the only downside of it. the end. i should clearly review gigs for a living

About a year ago I saw Bishi and Cameron Carpenter in Shoreditch church. It was totally freezing, but the music was incredible and it was such a lovely calm atmosphere. Bishi sang Feed the Birds from Mary Poppins, and there was mulled wine, and we met some cool people afterwards. I don't know if it was my favourite, but I won't forget it. Did anybody else go to this?

Wow. i remember being at the very front during florence and the machine, (i was there to see patrick at freedom fest) and anyway it was VERY voilent and pushy. I am only short and 13 years old but i managed to survive... just.

haha, Florence and the Machine doesn't strike me as something that would induce pushing and shoving and whatnot

hmm i think it was just because she was the most famous person at the festival. there was alot of smoking indie kids at all angles. I seemed to be the only person there to see patrick wolf, that is apart from some dude who kept shouting 'SING BATTLE'

seeing gang of four was pretty epic. alec empire was ace as well, since i was a huge fan of ATR when i was younger (but far too young to ever make it to a show) and when i was a mindless self indulgence obsessive i got to see them twice on their first uk tour and i thought that was the best thing ever. i think seeing the juan maclean in glasgow for my birthday this year would've been the best ever gig, had i actually gone... dammit.

well, i was counting on my boyfriend buying me a ticket for my birthday but we never got around to it. it would've meant too much arranging and stuff to get there and find a place to stay, etc.

a tie between Morrissey at the LA Palladium and Patrick at the Roxy, both were amazing, Moz was just so pact and energetic and crazy and i got a piece of his shirt, and Patrick the venue was really small and i was right up against the stage, he told funny stories and overall both were amazing nights made even better by the fact that i love them both dearly

i can't decide (yes, i'm a libra) between morrissey back in 2006, and this year: patti smith, the tiger lillies and PATRICK! ... haha they were all so great but so different. and a + on morrissey's gig... kristeenyoung was the support act. so, MY DREAM CAME TRUE. ugh, i know what you mean... i saw my life passing by on a couple of gigs. no fun.

yeah, it's not like it's that hard to just be respectful, most people who do it are drunk
luckily when i saw patrick he was the main act so everyone was pretty happy when he came on
