I reckon it'll be a lot harder for Patrick to get as much money through Bandstocks this time round. There were a lot of fans who put quite a lot of money into the Bachelor and, even if they loved it, I dunno if they'd be prepared to put as much in a second time around. It's because it was such a new and exciting idea - the novelty has perhaps worn off.
And then there was the people who were disappointed by the Bachelor who won't contribute again.

I think what they should do is reward people who give more money more (i.e. let them go to the first events, let them buy more presale tickets). Because like cmj, I think there will be fewer people who will invest, so Patrick would have to rely more on a few people investing a lot.

Wasn't there an e-mail a little while back saying there would be special things for those who invest in both albums? (actually, I know there was, but I've deleted it...) Can't say I've really experienced any benefits of buying the bandstocks other than the satisfaction of donating to a cause I believe in (ha). BUT I will definitely be investing again. I guess in 2014-2015 I can experience the real rewards!

I think it would be a good idea to focus a little bit more on non-UK investors too. Maybe I've just missed the point, but it would be nice to get something that's not ticket-related . That's just not good enough if you live in a country where he doesn't play. Possibly certain discounts or special merch offers or something? Free, and exclusive, something or other for anyone who gets more than one "stock"?

For several gigs, the tickets were already on sale despite the "exclusive" presale. And I don't think there was a single "special event" or a bandstocks competition to win tickets outside the UK? I do realise that Patrick is very busy, but as you said, they could give away merch or tickets, that wouldn't cost him any time.

I do feel the love/hate number one feeling... I'm not an 'as-soon-as-an-artist-I-like-has-more-than-five-fans-I-hate-them' type (rather the opposite) but... I like the 'Who is Patrick Wolf?' 'He's the best blah de blah blah viola tea and glitter' conversation... Also the sense of close knit community we have on the board

I don't know if this has been put up already. I'm really hoping this song 'Time of My Life' will be on the new album. There's a better quality version of it up on YouTube now where you can more or less hear the lyrics over the backing track. Thought i'd share them on here. 'Time of My Life' Happy without you. Thanks for the worst time of my life. From the east to the south. Driving rain, dry my path. Two days of doubt without you. I drive to trouble ahead. Final word has been said. The distance sped between us. I tell myself to hold on, wont be long. Till I get through the struggle. Time to wake up and find my soul. Let my heart remain whole. To the end of this worst Time of My Life. I’ve been happy without you. Not washed for weeks. Six days see no sleep. I will die in my early grave if i Do not obey shame. Be brave. Get myself out of this mess I have created for myself. I tell myself hold on. Wont be long. Till I get through the struggle. Time to wake up, find my soul. Let my heart remain whole. To the end of this worst Time of My Life. I will be happy without you. Thanks for the worst time of my life. Happy without you. This was the worst time of my life. www.youtube.com/watch?v=N--m5rpRW6c

I am amazingly excited about this album. Time of My Life is such an ironic song. Totally wouldn't expect such a dark song from the title, haha. Also, I can't wait for Together. I've loved the clip on the Battle Megamix since it came out. I was very happy with how The Bachelor came out, and am thrilled about The Conqueror, so I'm definitely going to invest the same or more for this one. It'll be especially nice this time around, also, as a lot of the kinks from the first Bandstocks experience have been worked out. Now that things are more settled, I'm expecting that things will only get smoother. I just hope he can make the cut for this one, since I know a lot of people are upset that he broke it into two funds when he split the album from Battle to Bachelor/Conqueror. I was, at first, but then realised that it, realistically, needed to be broken up this way to make the best albums possible, and I'm glad the choice was made. I trust Patrick and his awesome team, and even if there are mistakes, this is a new system, and one I'm so proud to be a part of. Here's to a new way to make music, and freedom for artists.

I think I'd be happy if he got worldwide recognition as long as he doesn't compromise himself - though I can never see Patrick ever doing that ! I think the next one might just be "a bit" happier than The Bachelor [: I can't wait !

Sorry if this has already been asked, but soon will there be a bandstocks thing for The Conqueror so we can invest? I think I'm more excited about this one than the last.

umm..I was just reading all these comments about "only in UK" events. Can I just correct this, how many events have been outside of Britain mainland. In fact, to be fair, I don't think I've heard of too many Welsh Events either. So basically, Northern Ireland & Wales have missed out big time as well & there's only really been a few in Scotland. So, rephrase that to "only English" events?
Not that I'm complaining. I loved being an investor. Even if there wasn't so much as a gig anywhere near me.

Also, does anyone remember the song Peacock Skies? He performed it a long time ago back in his red hair extension wearing days, and someone got it on youtube but it got deleted for some weird copyright reasons. It had the lyrics "motherless Muslims, cold-hearted Christians, I spread my love" and it was so beautiful and all about love and hope for peace, I was obsessed when I first heard it. I Dont Think It Will Be Because I heard on a interveiw tat the sixth album will be about diffrent religions and cultures mixing and being united. so it souns as if that song would most likely be on the sixth album.
