I love choosing things to show people but the fear they won't like it or there'll be some other issue nearly kills me

Cherrypies, I haven't heard of any of those films and would be happy to watch any one of them, so don't worry People don't have to pick films that most people haven't seen already, I think it's mainly the discussion element which is important. We could all discuss Twilight or whatever. (I'm not picking Twilight, promise).

^ I'll follow you _______________________________ hey, what do you people think this is? A DEMOCRACY?! ...it was your idea ;D Should I post my choice on here too to check that everyone hasn't already seen it? Perhaps post it in the original wolfboard film club thread a bit down the page? Keep this ontopic?

If anyone picks Twilight I'm leaving the board. I'll play the devil's advocate and point out that it's actually quite a good one to pick. Purely for discussion purposes; everyone has an opinion and wouldn't hold back when talking about it. As nice as it is with everyone picking their absolute favourite films ever - and it ensures a certain level of quality, too - it means that people might be more reluctant to be brutally honest.

Not ONLY am I going to pick Twilight
I am also going to pick three consecutive episodes of Dawson's Creek and say that I think it qualifies as film because of the length.
Oh yeah, Anna. I went there.

I LOVE DAWSON'S CREEK. Man I'm up Dawson's Creek without a paddle. Katie Holmes/Joey was one of my first crushes which embarresses me a bit now. Aww.. Sunday afternoons in 1999 waiting for the wrestling to come on, those were the days.

Joshy, Katie Holmes/Joey is indeed sexy as all hell... As was most of the cast actually...
Huh. You know. I've spent a lot of my short adult life wondering what on earth I ever found interesting about that show... Can we say "mystery solved"?

What's not to love about a bunch of pretty middle class kids dealing with their issues in a touchy feely manner using verbose psychobabble to the backdrop of wet Lilith Fair vag-rock?

As nice as it is with everyone picking their absolute favourite films ever - and it ensures a certain level of quality, too - it means that people might be more reluctant to be brutally honest. I'm quite tempted, whenever it eventually becomes my turn to choose, to find choose something I've never seen before but want to see. Or maybe I'll just go choose something like The Lion King, who doesn't love the the lion king? Actually probably best not...I couldn't cope with people insulting the source of much childhood joy.
