My mum had a dream about Patrick Wolf! She said we’d gone to a gig of his in a big stadium; were at the back, yet my uncle was down the front and super-excited. In this dream he was weirdly obsessive about Patrick Wolf, very different from normal, football-playing uncle of real life. At one point the got so excited he was sick. On Patrick. Haha! these dreams are so interesting and quite funny!

WOW Patrick showed up in my dreams last night for the first time in a really long time. Actually a couple of Wolfies were there too. First, I drove to London (yes, drove, which is impossible from America) with my real-life friend Allison, and Wolfboard Allison. Wolfboard Allison was driving and we were in an old-style station wagon, the kind with wooden panels on the sides. The route seemed to be an endless highway over an endless huge bridge. (I suppose it must've been a bridge over the Atlantic Ocean?)
Anyway, upon arrival in London I met Sibz and some other girl who I didn't recognize, just a random projection of my subconsciousness I suppose. They showed me around London, but it didn't look like London, instead it looked like a small comfy Southern town with lots of cafes and flower shops. We were on our way to some store or cafe and we ran into this cat who could play the fiddle. We watched it play for a while, and suddenly Patrick turned up, standing next to me. He said, "Do you remember that song I wrote about the cat who plays the fiddle? Well, this is the cat who inspired it." And then he proceeded to sing his song about the cat, and somehow in my dream I recognized it, even though I had never heard it before in waking life. And I can't remember how the song went now, but it was really quite a delightful song, it was quirky and intelligent and melodic and I think it included the use of a mountain dulcimer (I could hear all the background music even though he was just standing there singing).
The next thing I vaguely remember is standing in someone's bathroom with Patrick and staring at ourselves in the mirror for a while, then I think it ended or I woke up or something.
Anyway, that song about the fiddle-playing cat was awesome and I hope it's on the new album.

Patrick Wolf was in my nightmare last night! no i've never dreamt about that guy. But i was in this room that was all carpet and the ceiling was really low so i was crouching and then i hear this beautiful instrumental music and i look to my left and there is Patrick, in full stage outfit, leaning over to peer in this super clear pool of water. He was leaning so far over the ledge that a woman in white was holding his shirt, keeping him from falling in. It was all so very surreal and I was sure if it was a performance or not, but I felt like I was on stage and should get off. So i tried to get out of this carpet room but it started closing in on me and i got my head trapped in this carpeted enclosure that i thought i could squeeze through, and I begun to panic, then I woke up.

I recently had a dream that I was walking through a maze to this candlelit outdoor French cafe in amongst all the vine's to meet Lady Gaga (as you do) She was speaking French to me + wanted to introduce me to her friend Patrick Wolf. I was like I know him already. Then they started making out, Patrick's Mum arrived + said that Gaga + I were bad news. Then I woke up...

Long time lurker here; I'm 31 and live in Italy, been listening to PW since...2006 I guess. I decided to come out from my seclusion after a weird dream about him I had tonight. ;D Mostly I had normal dreams about him playing etc...there was the one with the drag queen brass backing band, but nothing too weird...this time it was different. A big epidemic had killed most of the population on earth and the impoverished survivors travelled in a train towards a new land; on the train I met Patrick and he fancied my knitted clothes. I was wearing knitted socks and leggings and a knitted dress and everything was knitted basically. William had died during the the epidemics so we started to make out, had sex...and I thought we would be a couple. But then Bjork was on the train too; and obviously he ran off to her, and I thought "well, whatever, I can't compete with Bjork!". Patrick had brown hair and pretty sensible dark clothes. Luckily for me now bigamy was legal so we decided we would all be married, Patrick, Bjork and me. Still Patrick felt like he had to pay homage to William so he recorded a new album about his death, and bereavement...and he had this video... the song was sort of mid-tempo pop, and about how love, for one reason or another was fleeting...Patrick had this early 1800's kind of outfit, shirt and breeches, but half of it was sprouting grass and weeds, and his hair was blond and like a scarecrow's...I guess he was trying for a Jack-In-The-Green kind of thing... and all around him savage beasts frolicking around, and Patrick humping baby wooly mammoths and trying to catch butterflies with his hands, the lyrics were about how love and life are fickle as I said. Then he had an All-Kinds-Of-Fur kind of costume, like the fairytale heroine, and the landscape changed to an ice age one, very dark and eery. The ice started to melt and happy seals gathered around him...and while cuddling and kissing one he sang: I wanted to kiss you, but I kissed a seal instead I'm a seal-o-phile, singing on the hill

yeah. i'm not sure why we couldn't have had a polygamic wedding with both William and Bjork though...(and maybe the seal too? )

Haha I love to read all those dreams, they're so odd! My only dream about Patrick Wolf was that I was hurrying to stand close to him at his concert. I managed to have te best place but yeah my dream stopped before the concert even started. That was somehow dissapointing

very funny, and I thought I had weird dreams... I actually dreamt of Patrick twice, once while I took a nap after a very short night's sleep (but that was depressing, we were both kind of f*cked up teenagers lol ) and the second time, I can't remember, he only had a minor role in it. the reason why I really write here is this: www.freewebs.com/therustybicycle/fanfictionbyme.htm ;D I teared up of laughter! (and no worries, it's even safe for the under-age people to read ) it's the most ridiculous fan fiction I ever read. I didn't even know that there were people out there who wrote stories like that about their favourite celebs...and put it on display online

Oh, all of your dreams are so weird and surreal, I really enjoyed reading them! I've had dreams with PW a few times, but I remember well only one - where me&Patrick had to arrange a new apartament for William and him, so I had to kick my gradma out of her house to give them a place to live, and then we started rearranging the rooms. At some point when we were working on the walls, William came in and said he was jealous of the wallpaper, and he's moving out. You weren't living in there Will, but oh well.

Crazy, upsetting dream I had last night/part of what inspired me to rejoin the Wolfboard (see my intro post big laughs and hijinks). OK this is awful. but read.
I was in England and Patrick Wolf had recently committed suicide. I had not really comprehended it all until I was in his country and was given a pass to sit and contemplate by the river where he drowned himself. before I went, the man who guided me to go gave me a necklace with a somewhat large silver-charm on it that represented the river where he drowned. I went over to the river. It was very small and beside a tall cliff. Beach-like sand encapsulated it. Many people were at the river, which again was in a contained space, vacationing and having fun. It was actually really crowded considering how random the place seemed to be. The river went out far and deep though. Anyway. I sat there and cried a lot. This ridiculously overwhelming sadness came over me, which contrasted deeply with the laughter and fun of everyone else. I realized how I never got to meet him. I could never see him in concert again. He could never make new music. I pictured where he must have drowned himself, somewhere very far off, and why. He seemed so happy lately. How is his man dealing with this?
All these thoughts. It was really intense. I woke up and had to convince myself he wasn't actually dead, and became very relieved.

Has anyone ever seen that Buffy the Vampire Slayer episode where everyone is asleep and a man with cheese keeps popping up and commenting on the cheese? Patrick is kind of like that in my dreams.
I had a dream a couple of weeks ago where myself and some friends and various celebrities (some of whom I don't even like) were gathered around a boardroom table and Patrick pops up at the end and says, "A rabbit, two birds and a wolf in a box. It's an old story, you know." And then all of the people around the table start debating the meaning of the tale and discussing what happens to the animals in the box and all of this sort of thing and then eventually the dream turns into this girl running to try and free the animals before something terrible happens but she knows she can't make it in time. Very odd.
In the end I wrote songs about it because what else do you do with bizarre dreams. Thanks, Patrick, I got 8 songs out of you popping into my head with made up fairytales.

My brain keeps playing Lupercalia in my sleep, it's happened twice this week! The first time I dreamt I was walking home from work with my ipod on shuffle, and just by chance it played The City, followed by House, followed by Bermondsey Street. I was just thinking "wow my ipod is psychic" when I woke up with The Future in my head. Then I got up, and my subconscious started progressing through the rest of Lupercalia - you know when you suddenly realise you've had a song stuck in your head but you hadn't noticed? I realised about 10 mintues later that Armistice was in my head, then it was William, then TOML (but then my friend got Scooby Doo stuck in my head so it stopped!) And last night I had a dream where I was sitting listening to Lupercalia, I got as far as The Future when I got woken up by my alarm. I've a feeling I've had that dream more often than I remember, but it's probably just deja vu. It always seems to stop at The Future, I feel like I always wake up with it in my head. And it's quite strange cos I haven't been listening to Lupercalia in full very often, I normally just listen to all my PW songs on shuffle. Sorry for that huge description, i hope i didn't bore you To be honest I'm not surprised I'm dreaming Lupercalia, I have Patrick Wolf on the brain ;D

I had a dream with him in, it was quite patrick wolf centred actually.
Me, my mum and sister walked into a gig where he was playing, the venue was blurry and had no detail. my viewpoint change from third-person behind me to behind patrick when he came on. He was starting to sing house but no instruments started and everyone suddenly left. my brains excuse was he cancelled it. I wasn't having this so i stayed behind for payback. The venue's details were revealed as a very catholic house, dont ask it came off that way, biblical quotes on the walls n stuff. I was standing in the living room and i went around (my mum and sister were left in the living room) and saw a dorr labeled femme room. I thought, this could be a changing room and i could ask someone if i could see patrick, but i turned out to be a ladies bath room. i went back in the living room and picked up something for him to sign, it was a shot glass my sister actually owns, its a small turkey (country) shot glass from last years holiday. and then i looked at the wall and it said 'Knock for patrick'. i knocked on the wall and a childs piano (like the high pitched ones) was playing in the room to the left of the living room. I went in and a man was sitting in there playing the notes that had been going on since i knocked, and he said ' go in the other room and wait for him' and i replied 'ill act surprised when he comes'. I went in and waited for him, he came down the stairs and into the room and i said, no puff of smoke? no glitter?. He just laughed once...
Then I woke up, it was very anti-climatic... Still strange, the dream was in colour, i could read and hear things, recognised the style of house (had the same layout as my grandads), and i could talk! Heerrrmmm... :S Normally my dreams have weird stuff like aliens, walking skulls, crypts.
Another weird one is im on a 'Magical Mystery Tour' (me and my friend made game up and we walked around street we've just found, this is something we done in real life, but we done it in the dream too) and its quite sombre and theres a lone tree surrounded by tall wooden fencing and me and my primary school friend are staring at it for a while before we depart and the ending is a small steel gothic fence with a robin on top of it and i wake up when my viewpoint is following it up to the sky. (the dream is always black and white) But thats another dream for another day... Theres lots of stuff between the start and end lol <<I find that one quite scary and i dont know why

haha, i went shopping with my mum the day after , and actually saw the piano the man was playing, I think i had one when i was little...
Course, i told me mum about the dream and i got really animated and walked around the house acting it out and running into the kicthen and grabbing the shot glass and showing her were it was and everything. Even knocked on the part of the wall i did in the dream. (me and my granddad live in the same street, his house is a bit bigger and spaced out then ours though) It was quite funny actually!

gawd, I just realized my dream of Patrick having a beard and he said he doesn't want to shave it because he is domestic now, and every domestic man starts wearing a beard.
