i guess i'll try signing up again as i only recieved an e-mail that was the same as the myspace post/offical site post about this. it had no clickable link. sorry for causing confusion but it was odd that it didn't work for one hotmail account and did for another. the myspace post/official site post has a clickable link in it... it links you to the new sign up page. i hope it works for you this time around. eta: regarding the fact that victoria signed up and it said she was active when she didn't receive an email stating this... in august i imported all (at that time) TWIN contacts, because the system for bandstocks is different to the system we used for the mailouts, and i was able to convert them to a file etc etc. so perhaps this is why some of you are experiencing problems with not receiving confirmation, you might already be on our list. but do keep trying, there's no harm in that.

Strange things are happening. I tried twice with my main Gmail address, didn't work, and I got the two confirmation mails instantly using my other address. Note: My main address is indeed a TWIN one. Will I get the newsletter twice now? That wouldn't be necessary

you shouldn't get anything twice if you're on both the main list and the TWIN list with the same email address. but you may if there are two different addresses. i'd advise you to wait until we send a mailout from the new system and see if you get it twice, then unsubscribe one email address.

Ah, okay. That may be why my Gmail wasn't working, but my Yahoo did. I was subscribed to all possible mailing lists, including the TWIN one on my gmail, haha. Either way, I'll be getting my Patrick Wolf news on at least one address, and I got the wonderful demo.

That's how I feel about this whole forum to be honest. I occasionally come back now when I bored. Final Fantasy's forum is a lot more civilised; it's a shame more don't post there really.

Um, I hate to interrupt but I don’t believe I’ve managed to download the full demo- I’ve managed to get a two minute long version out of the millions of times I’ve tried to download the song, but it won’t fully download. Please help?

all i can suggest is try clearing your browser's cache, hard-refreshing the page (ctrl+f5 for windows) and then try to download it again. you only need to left-click the link, don't right-click/save target/link as.

Oh! How do you clear your browser's cache? WHAT IS CACHE? cache is just like your browser's history/temporary stored files. for firefox, click tools > clear recent history. for IE, tools > internet options > delete browsing history.

Thank you, jay, but I’ve tried all you suggested and, unfortunately, it hasn’t worked. I have only left-clicked the link and it gets to about 6% downloaded, then restarts itself or says it‘s completed. Could it be because I have dial-up? Sorry to be a bother!

it could be that the download has timed out in your case because of your connection... i'll get in touch with the webmaster and hopefully have a solution for you tomorrow. the download doesn't get taken down until tomorrow night, anyway.
