I'm hoping the limited edition version means a nice lovely 12" vinyl edition of the album. I'd be happy to pay stupid money for that

if you go on your bandstocks account can you find out if you 'opted in' for the limited edition thing? What does the option to enter “Number of signed limited editions” mean when I apply to buy Bandstocks? When you apply to buy Bandstocks, you have the option of entering the number of limited editions that you wish to buy as and when they are available. You will need to pay for them separately, but you don’t generally* need to pay anything when you apply for Bandstocks and you are not obligated to buy them. The number of editions that you enter must not be more than the number of Bandstocks that you are applying for. Because the limited editions are usually quite expensive to manufacture and because they will, for nomoguls artists, be signed by the artist, it is helpful if we are able to estimate the number of limited editions that are likely to be needed as early as possible. The maximum price of the signed limited editions is indicated in the investment memorandum for the project in question. What this means is that, assuming that Bandstocks for your project are issued and assuming that the album is completed, you will have the right to buy a limited edition at the maximum price indicated or less. We may sometimes offer more than one edition, and some of the editions may be at a price higher than the maximum price, but you will still be offered the opportunity to buy a version of the limited edition at or below the maximum price. This will all be explained in detail when the limited editions are ready and you can decide then exactly what you want to buy and payment will be taken for it at that time. If Bandstocks for your project are issued and the limited editions are made, you will still have an opportunity to buy your signed limited edition when they are issued even if you do not enter the number that you wish to buy in the box when you apply for Bandstocks. The reason for asking how many you want during the Buy Bandstocks process is that the more accurate the information we have at that time, the better chance we have of supplying the special editions as efficiently as possible without over or under manufacturing, both of which cost money and both of which will have an impact on Albumco’s Net Receipts, so it is in the interests of Investors and the Artist for Investors to be as realistic and accurate as possible when entering the number of special editions that they wish to buy. * For some Bandstocks offers (usually where the album has already been made and is about to be released) buying a special edition may be a compulsory part of the Buy Bandstocks process. This will always be made very clear and you will know from the “Buy Bandstocks” process that you are also being asked to buy and pay for the limited edition at the time.

Strange, he's beginning his tour in Northampton, not a very rock'n'roll or even large place to open what he wants to be a great tour.
Maybe he wants it to be intimate? Who knows, I'll go to Northampton anyway.
Shame he's not playing in Leicester, his Magic Position show was very good in 2007

I'm glad that the London date is after my exams! Though I have a strange feeling I'm doing something else on the 1st June but oh well. Does anyone have any idea how many tickets us bandstockers can buy? It was limited to two last time wasn't it.

I've just checked it all out, the whole email and website thing, and although this may sound a stupid question...
How exactly do you buy them from Ticket Master?
I'm sorry, but this is the first time i have bought tickets this way, and i'm really unsure as to what you do. Is it all online? Or do you need to ring etc? Also, theres no price as of yet, so does anyone know how much the tickets cost?

There are prices up, I think I saw the london show was 15. the tickets go on presale tomorrow- if you have a bandstocks account you should have been sent an email with a link to the tickets, if not you'll have to wait a week and buy them either from the venue, from the ticketmaster website, or over the phone.

it's all online, you just pick how many you want, enter an address and a card number etc, and they email you a confirmation.
the price will probably be different for different venues..but er.. £10-15 maybe? that's a total guess though.. and then there's postage etc..

I hate not having real tickets, I still have the tickets from nearly every gig I've been to!

Oh, and do you have to sign up to Ticketmaster to get tickets? Or would it be advised to do this?

I'm pretty sure you have to have a ticketmaster account to buy tickets there. You can probably create an account as you are buying the tickets but might be easier to just create one now.

Thanks Dot, i'll get to it! hehe... What would i do without you lot!? Your welcome. You'd probably have a much more complicated life without the forum! I for one would never know when anything was happening Patrick Wolf wise. I probably wouldn't even know about bandstocks.

I dont buy NME, without this place i wouldnt have known about the online magazines and the only source i used to get info from was PW's Myspace, which is normally behind this place somehow. Im very thankful of the boards! x
