I have to say that I too am frustrated. I put aside my cynicism about the bandstocks idea and donated because Patrick is great and needs to keep releasing music and I'm tired of the "music" business being all about what pop act can sell the most t-shirts. Then all I have gotten is the opportunity to purchase the limited edition CD which I bought despite wanting Vinyl. Then I read that rough trade has a 2 disc edition which I would rather have as I already have a copy of Lycanthropy signed in person by Mr. PW on his first visit stateside. That being said, the mp3 download sounds MUCH better than the ones my friend sent me weeks ago (you can laugh or want to choke me here, up to you). At the end of the day, I'm not THAT upset because it wasn't that much money to be a TWINr but I wouldn't do it again by any means. It's a bit like when a politician promises you all kinds of things and as soon as they get elected act as if they never even mentioned it.

Out of curiosity now this album is released...
Are people going to invest in the next album if it's done through Bandstocks again?

Just one thing:
The standard edition does have a list of the bandstockers in it, there's a little insert with a list of everyone that invested
I think that's in all of the first run of copies

Definately. I got nothing out of it either. I mean there isnt even a tour date in Northern Ireland or the republic of Ireland. So to be honest I have more reason to complain than most. But I dont, why? Well because it gives me self satisfaction, to know that Im giving money to someone who makes amazing music and follows his dreams...but still got dropped from a label. Even though he is the most talented musician (i know) around.
so to summarise. All the money I make will be reinvested. Because PW is so damn amazing.

Out of curiosity now this album is released... Are people going to invest in the next album if it's done through Bandstocks again? Well. It didn't really go smoothly. Click'n'Buy in particular was a pain, but... ...ultimately, if the choice is, (1) new PW album through Bandstocks or, (2) no new PW album at all, it is a no brainer. When it comes down to it, I invested in Bandstocks because I wanted to feel involved & give something back to an artist that has the integrity to make the album he believes in and fund it himself rather than make the commercial album demanded by the record company just to make money. So yeah. I will definitely be investing again next time. Oh and the downloads sound great.

It keeps saying "You can't download these tracks" My Bandstocks ID is four numbers isn't it?
:/
Edit: I've sorted it, I have morning eyes so I was putting it in some 'download previously paid for' or something. Haha.

I agree with you Lucky6 on pretty much all your points, especially the Click&Buy one...
I've had some major issues with them, which has ended up in bank charges and all sorts of problems i could really have done without and can't afford, so hopefully by the next album that will be sorted and an alternative payment method will be available.
Infact, speaking of Click&Buy i've just looked and i'm not sure there is a way to delete the account after making it (although i'm sure there must be one somewhere)... But i do plan on deleting the account after i have the CD if it's possible.
EDIT: Okay... just been looking on the Click&Buy website, and it seems there are some things which people may not know about and which i didn't know about. So here goes incase you've not looked:
Maintenance fee for inactive accounts When your account has been inactive for more than 12 months and contains valid funds we need to charge a monthly maintenance fee. If you do not wish to be charged a fee you can reactivate your account by performing a purchase, funding or a withdrawal. 1.00 GBP (per month)
Hmm... This doesn't seem too great does it?
BUT i also found this:
If you want to cancel your membership, just send us an email, indicating your customer number.
service@uk.clickandbuy.com
Hopefully that was a help to some of you. I'm glad i looked actually, knowing my luck i would have left it and not ever realised the money was going every month.

curiously enough.. but I still cannot download the album(
Could somebody explain me how the bandstockers were informed about where and when they can download it?
As I understood from reading this topic people recieved a letter with downloading instructions (to type the ID to get the download links for example). I wanted to ask you if it's true, because I haven't recieved any letters from Bandstock

Sadly I don't think the normal version will have the names of the Bandstockers in it Just got the CD - it does indeed have an extra piece of paper with the names in

terrific, my downloads died, and now I am missing half of the album and it won't let me re-download them! Have you tried exiting and doing it all over? It was telling me the time was up so I exited, signed in again, put in the code and it worked just fine. Thank you. It worked this morning after I re-signed in. Does anyone have a high quality cover for itunes, since Bandstock doesn't supply that extravagant sort of thing.

Oh I best send that email (and find my customer number for that matter), that's really bad. I wouldn't have thought to check the small print. That's awful! So many people won't know though...

This is just what i found from looking, but i had read it on another internet forum that apparently they took money out each month... so i don't know.
I don't want to panic people, but after looking on the Help section thats what i found so i thought i'd post it here incase people didn't know (which i'm guessing you didn't, and i certainly didn't).
I wouldn't panic though, and i'm waiting until i have the CD incase there are any problems or anything. It does say after 12 months though... small print is always confusing to me, but yeah, i'll be sending them an email when i get it too.
EDIT: Also, is there a chance of anyone who has the album already doing a scan of the sheet with names on it? I fancy a gander and want to see if i'm on it... haha.

So what quality is the download? Someone said it was "CD quality mp3s" which I highly doubt (as that's not possible) and I really doubt it will be in FLAC.

Ok, yeah, my mistake there - I forget as iTunes doesn't rip higher than 320kbps, and i was sleepy. They're 320Kbps 44.1kHz mp3s. Either way, that's still better than I was expecting though. Edit: lol, beaten there to it.
