As on PW's twitter:
The Bachelor has broken the Top 40 in the Midweek Charts! A breakthrough! Cant tell you chart placing yet but lets keep going and climbing! 40 minutes ago from web
On iTunes, it's at #38 but I'm sure with other mp3 sites and hard copy sales it's higher.
EDIT: #43 on play.com and #338 on amazon.co.uk

Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk? Cos there's a slight difference...

"Alternative" type artists with hardcore fans like Patrick generally do better in the midweeks than in the final charts on Sunday, just because of the amount of their fans who either pre-order or else rush out on a Monday to get a copy. So Patrick could slip out of the top 40, which would be a great tragedy; if Grizzly Bear can do it, surely Patrick Wolf can?
So what that means is... he needs Saturday sales. And Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday sales too. Casual music fans. The album's only £7.99 in HMV stores, so suggest gently to people you know that it's wicked and well worth buying.

after monday's sales it is number 29 in the charts with 1189 sales.

there was a man browsing in hmv who saw me and chool pick up copies and bought one himself. It was a beautiful moment. I like to imagine that he WAS just browsing, and not an already-fan.

How many copies does the average album sell? Wait that's a ridiculous question, what even is 'average'? Well I just wondered how many he is estimated to sell, and how many he has to sell to get himself a nice little profit. Would be nice to see him do it at a profit, not just breaking even or whatever.

I think around 25,000+ sales in the first week is strong these days. But I don't know much

My man who knows these things says he's 27 in the midweeks. This is terrific!

My man who knows these things says he's 27 in the midweeks. This is terrific! It is; but we've seen midweeks fail to reflect final position in the chart before, haven't we? Wasn't it running last time? If you are planning on buying the album then it's imperative that it's bought before end of trade on Saturday so that the first week position brings it to people's attention.

This is great so far! I guess no #69 for this album I nerdily went into HMV today and took a look, knowing full well that it would not be there because it's not even out here yet.... then I found that they completely took out the Patrick Wolf card they usually have. They best get it back in August or I'm writing a nasty letter haha But yay UK!

Fallen to #48 on iTunes today, risen to #41 on play.com and to #89 on amazon.co.uk. If it falls out of the top 40, 69 would be nice

this morning he is 33 in the charts with 2112 sales. number 40 in the charts is 1762 sales so he needs to keep above them to chart!
he's doing good so far

Shame, because, if they were, that would mean that true sales of The Bachelor would be almost double that - which would surely equal a very impressive chart debut indeed! Fingers crossed for lots of purchases over the weekend!

He's not high enough to rank in the US iTunes store so I can't see his place or I'm just not looking on the right sites but here's Amazon, which I don't think is too bad since only the MP3 is out here. And we get new stuff on Tuesdays, so it's a day less than UK. He also hasn't gotten the press that he has in the UK.
I wonder if it'll go up in August when we get a physical copy?
Amazon.com Sales Rank: #315 in MP3 Albums Popular in this category: #93 in MP3 Albums > Alternative Rock

Are any albums sold at shows not chart eligible either? Does he even sell albums at his shows? Just curious...
