Im sure he played Triston. I remember singing along to it and having a jig... Hmm. But i agree, he was utterly fantastic and i really loved some of the old faves making an appearance like Wind In The Wires and obviously Paris. I felt really sorry for him when he said he has food poisoning though, he looked like he was really struggling and in pain through some of the set, and he was very apologetic about it. Oh, and The Sun Was Often Out was frickin' immense. The only criticism i have, and not considering Patrick is the fact that there this guy stood next to me who only knew The Magic Position. He looked bloody grim all the way through and kept looking at me like i was a freak for knowing the words and having a good old jig along to every song, and then he perked up just for the last song. Annoyed me a little. But yes, i was also sad Vulture didn't make an appearance, and it was on the setlist, but i guess he wasn't feeling up to it. I loved it though! EDIT: Very sorry to the people i was meant to be seeing. When i got into Sheff i was starving Marvin and needed some food, so i went and when i got back you'd all gone in and i couldn't get to you. So sorry m'dears!

Sorry for the double post, but to those who were at Sheffield and don't have Twitter, Patrick posted this: Thank You SHEFFIELD for bearing with me and my mental stomach. Sometimes its those accidents and emergencies that bring out the best in me x You can see it here if you like: twitter.com/pw_official

The heckling bloke was annoying, grrrr! However, absolutely mindblowingly brilliant show!!! Me and my best mate were right at the front and both came out going, "WOW!"; totally didn't want it to end! I think highlights for me were Paris (YES! SO happy we got that one!), Blackdown, Theseus, Hard Times, The Sun Is Often Out (which actually made me cry, it was GORGEOUS! We may not have got Vulture, but it was worth it for that!) and Accident and Emergency. I totally think more people should have been dancing though; hardly anyone was! I was going for it in Hard Times What did everyone else think of Yacht? I was pleasantly surprised actually; I wasn't sure at the start but they won me over!

Oh yeah! haha... he didn't do it, for some reason i was thinking The Libertine was Triston then. My mind is all over today! So tired...
But yeah, the crowd was very... still. And that heckler was damned annoying! It was an amazing set though, i went out just amazed and seriously i could have listened to him all night, he is so captivating. I felt like i was in his living room or something (all be it a dingy one, which im sure his isn't) because it seemed so personal.
And Yacht were really good... so energetic and the slideshow was so geeky it was immense! She was stunningly pretty too. At first i was kind of thinking 'Hmm, this is weird, never been to a gig like this' but after those first thoughts they rocked. The answer to the question was good too... made me chuckle.

The girl next to me kept giving me a funny look because of my dancing attempts and singing along; ah well! I seriously, seriously didn't want it to end! I agree about how personal it felt, especially during the second half he looked like he was having a really good time and then when he was singing that, "when I sing I've got nothing to hide" line in Lands End he looked like he really meant it Also I loved his necklace!

I know what you mean about it not wanting to end; I definitely felt like that at the end of the Birmingham gig. And normally I'm quite happy for a gig to end because I want to sit down so badly!

It was really nice, no backing track or anything, all acoustic. (In relation to TSIOO)
Oh, and on another note i thought it was really sweet how he kept apologising for everything. I dont think he realised how good he was. OH! And i loved the rock arrangement for A&E!
Gosh, so damn good! I know over the next few days little snippets and things will come back to me.
EDIT: The necklace was great, i was hoping he would throw it in the audience and i might happen to be in its direction, but no such luck. I didn't want it to end at all either, its like no other gig i've been to really (normally rock gigs with too many people and an overwhelming smell of sweat). It was luffly.

was the heckling bloke the guy who applauded to soon then shouted " OHHH JUSTT ME THEN?"

I was at the left... right at the front near the end next to a woman with HUGE blonde hair that was curly. Mines quite long and black, and i had a striped green and white t-shirt. Was it me? I didn't see many other people moving. haha... I wonder if we were near each other! Aww, that would be cool.

At 6ft 2, I stood at the back in the centre and had a fantastic view throughout the entire show. It seemed an odd mix of people from middle-aged to students and then teens and their parents stood at the back and sat on the sides. I think the non-dancing had a lot to do with the venue being half empty and people feeling slightly self conscious as a consequence. Plus, it was damn hot and stuffy in there, so while I didn't dance along, I certainly swayed several times and it was just really nice not to sing along for a change but instead listen to the music and his voice. I thought the string players on the right of the stage were superb too.
Whilst I'm not sure the venue was quite suitable for the gig (I think with hindsight I preferred the small room he used at the City Hall), the music was top notch and Patrick is now definately up there with Rufus Wainwright for me, as one of my fave all-time singer-songwriters.

I actually quite like the Leadmill, i think its quite small and so everyone has a chance to have a good view etc. I was very surprised it was quite empty though. I kept looking around thinking 'Okay, when is everyone going to get here?' and it didn't seem to fill.
Also, when Yacht were on is was practically empty, i felt a little... not sorry for them, because they seemed to quite like that it was a small crowd, but a little like they didn't get the chance they should have had. I just hope they didn't think Sheffield was too much of a dive, haha.

I'm glad you all had a brill time It was quite strange actually, but in a good way of course, because he said how his laptop was stolen and so he didn't have the backing track with the beats and everything. One thing Mr.Wolf needs is a backup file of everything! haha... It was still immense though.
