i guess if graham coxon is playing too it could be pretty packed out... i think i'll get there at about 9:30 just to be sure I get in. Do you have any idea what kind of numbers will be let in jay? also, yay that Dan Michaelson and the Coastguards are playing. they're actually really good Pure Groove is tiny. I saw Johnny Flynn play there last year - it seemed pretty full with what must have been about 60 people! But they hadn't cleared all the tables and stuff out of the way, and as Saturday's event is for Record Store Day, they will probably clear the decks to make room for more. A question for Jay. Would I be correct in assuming that, if you haven't had an e-mail by now you haven't been picked for a Bandstocks place? Yeah, thought so. Just clutching at straws.

PG accommodates about 50 people, tho when full capacity it gets quite hot so make sure to dress accordingly. if you are on the guest list just go to the door, there's usually someone with a list standing there, and unfortunately it is mostly the guest list people who fill up half the space.
I've never seen it happening but maybe they'll carry it outside. An outside gig would be cool.

I was just thinking that if the capacity of Pure Groove is 50-60 and there are 10 pairs of guest list places - that means that there will be only 30-40 places left for the rest of us - fewer if Pure Groove have their own guest list too. Can't help feeling a little anxious.....

So the gig you went to actually said limited to 100? Had they cleared away the tables & stuff? If so, that would make the official maximum capacity 100 I guess. Still pretty anxious though....

can anyone confirm that it's okay to just go to the front of the queue and explain youre on the guestlist to the person at the door? in front of people who have been waiting there since possibly 8am? I don't want to cause trouble with people saying 'i've been here since [crazy time] what do you think you're doing?'

i'd say yes, it's perfectly fine. you can queue with everyone else if you want to... having guestlist doesn't give you the right to swan all over everyone and act like a knob but look at it this way, your spot on the list guarantees you entry, how else are you supposed to get in?

yeah thats what I thought, because if I queue up like everyone else and get in that way, it was pointless entering, so I'm gonna have to go to the front of the queue

Pure Groove's manager has just said on BBC 6 Music that Patrick is onstage at 3pm tomorrow.
