What a fun night, Patrick seemed like he was having a brilliant time on stage and produced a great perfomance.
Highlight of the night for me was hearing Paris live for the first time :-) Or perhaps the amazing Spice Girls Medley.
The Atmosphere was great too, lots of young people but I just felt everyone radiating happy-ness throughout the set! The atmosphere went through the roof for the magic position though, which I have to say was fantastic ;D
Everyone else have fun?

No, no demolition...in fact, he played a lot more upbeat songs. I had so much fun, he was amazing! From what I remember he played: (not in order) Ghost Song (?) Overture Railway House Libertine Get Lost Pigeon Song The bluebell Bluebells Paris Teighnmouth Started Land's end...realised he didn't wanna play it, started Tristan but broke the guitar! Peacock Skies (new!) The Stars Encore: Magic Position A&E Spice Girls Medly He started off the first couple of songs without saying anything or even looking looking at the crowd, but really got into it after a bit. The crowd were great. He talked about leaving London and going to live by the sea, mating peacocks in the park, he talked about how people see his image over his music "my hair's tertiary to my talent"!! , and was basically so lovely and full of anecdotes for the whole set. It was fantastic

twas fuuuun i loved the spice girls meldy (i just realised i've been spelling this word wrong for ages) i don't think he did play ghost song, i have a feeling i would have remembered because it's one of my favourites to hear live paris was magical, and the new song mmm i loved all the little bits about it, like when he tried to play piano with his feet and fell backwards off his stool and when stuart delivered him a setlist halfway through and somebody near me said 'patrick's got mail!' and when patrick supposedly drunk his giraffe, but it was under his chair did anybody here see him after the show though ? :/

You guys at Bristol were lucky, at Exeter he had to cut a load of songs short because the bus broke down and everything was running really late : / still amazing though. And i met Dev who was really nice. Oh and in Exeter he played a new song called Days which was beautiful. Hmm i should put this all on a different thread and not the Bristol one.. oh theres enough tour threads already.

No, I didn't think it was Ghost song either....what did he open with then? I really wanted to see him after the show but it was just so cold I didn't want to have to wait around for ages and then for patrick to be in a hurry or something, it would have just put a downer on the night. I had fun...roll on Shepherd's Bush!

i think he just opened with overture, but kind of improvised and changed it a bit at the beginning ?

The show was amazing.
That was my fifth PW gig and my absolute favourite - even better than that first spectacular gig at Thekla when I completely fell in love with the music and performance of a man swathed in faerie prince mystique...
This gig was a massive contrast to the one at Exeter; Patrick was on form, was chatty to the point of 'oh my god, how much vodka have you imbibed', he performed to the whole crowd, was showy but not to the detriment of the music and really importantly - he looked like he was thoroughly enjoying himself. All credit to the Bristol crowd - everything Patrick gave out he got back tenfold.
I beamed throughout. Even the ever threatening gigtime panic attacks and chronic bad back failed to make an appearance. We all had such a good time. Sis was a PW gig virgin. I left her alone for the first two or three songs, then poked her on the shoulder and she turned round and said 'wow.' She reckoned he made everything look so effortless.
As the opening bars of Tristan sounded out my lovely friend Nicky tore through the crowd, round a pillar as she shouted Tristan at me and tore back into the throng. Usually reserved and well behaved me went a bit bonkers at the sound of Paris. I even realised the very loud WHOOP had come from my mouth.
I loved this gig. I smiled throughout to the extent my cheeks hurt today. I failed miserably to describe how I felt to one of my hot boy friends, and ended up embarrassing myself by saying that the gig had left me feeling like I was in a post orgasmic stupor. Gawd. I'm even embarrassed to write that now.
Wonderful. Wonderful. Wonderful.

I realise now the Paris NEEDS to be played at Shepherds Bush. Please, please, please, please, please.
Also on request: Demolition.

What a bloody great night that was, and what a blooody great crowd! Honestly one of the best gigs I've been to all year because there was such a great atmosphere between Patrick and the audience. Only negative points are things that were entirely my own fault as I forgot my camera and wore the most painful shoes x_X (I just wanted to see over peoples head instead of into the backs of their heads for a change! But I was not built for heels, ever.) oh and one thing that I couldnt change - being stuck behind two people who frowned through the whole thing! What the hell was wrong with them! Do they not have human emotions at all!? I couldn't stop smiling...ahem.
So yes brilliant brilliant brilliant. Can't really say anything else that will make sense because I'm really ill today (hooray cold time!) so yes..whoooo! Now I'm going back to sleep.

After I watched this on youtube, I spent the rest of the evening listening to the Spice Girls and had a strong urge to watch the movie. Oh, the memories.

Wow
It was easily one of the best shows I've ever been to, at every other I become immersed in what I hope is Beer, but at Paddys I was swamped in glitter. xx Sometimes I'm so shy at concerts I don't know what to do with myself,I even feel uncomfortable clapping(dear God..) but by the end of this one I really came out of myself, I think Patrick did too.x Truely treasureable I say! Great crowd, except for the 'What have you done to your hair' He speant the rest of the night fiddling wth it! x Tut tut..

I didnt meet him after the show, the bouncer took one of my friends records and a couple of other peoples hoodies and got them all signed (Although he could've just done it himself... anyone know what Patrick's signiture actually looks like??). I think I was more pleased with last nights performance than the first time I ever heard him at the Thekla. Cant wait for the 'finale'

It was my first time last night and despite being riddled with an almighty bout of manflu I thoroughly enjoyed it, absolutely awesome.

It was sooo brilliant last night :] The new songs sound really good. Yeah! Paris! Piano + violin only! It was laaavely :] No Godrevy, but ohh well.
I'm amazed I found someone else who knows the entire Wannabe rap.
Anyone get the set list in order? I missed it by a mere handspan when the security bloke chucked it out to the crowd - boohoo. x:]

By the way, The stars was my favourite. I really liked when the other fella came on to help him out playing guitar.
