Not sure if this venue has sold out or not, but if anyone is after a ticket i have 1 standing spare which I'm selling at face value.
Im going to use Scarlet Mist to do so as it seems to be a really cool concept to support, they seem to be actively seeking to help stamp out ebay scalpers. Have only just contacted SM so will probably not appear on there for a couple of days, but i thought it may be worthwhile sticking something up here to let potential interested peeps know its there.

*BUMP*
Have just looked on Ticketmaster - and whilst there are still tickets on sale - Ticketmaster want a whopping £3.00 "service charge" plus £4.95 for P&P within the UK! Daylight robbery if you ask me and every bit as criminal as your ebay scalper or dodgy tout outside the venue.

Will be heading to Exeter in a few hours, if anyone wants a ticket, price negotiable, drop a message via this board before 4pm and we can meet up at the venue - otherwise I guess i have an unused, intact PW ticket to keep for posterity!

I hate touts with a passion and would rather rip the thing up in front of their evil money grubbing noses than sell to them (or buy anything for that matter).
Having said that, if i cant even give away this ticket (believe me I've tried) then it might be a night when the touts make a loss instead of a profit - shame!

Patrick himself didn't have a set list. He arrived mere moments before going on stage at ten due to his van breaking down at Dorchester. He said he'd spent four hours in the freezing cold before catching a taxi to the venue and hadn't eaten all day.
He took a while to get going, was uncommunicative to start with, and I'd've not been at all surprised if he'd stopped the gig and gone, such was the atmosphere. Still, the sign outside telling people not to spoil the gig by talking through it seemed to work, apart from one denim clad tosser who felt the need to shout 'gay' and then got shushed into oblivion... After about half an hour Patrick seemed to be enjoying himself...
This gig was in stark contrast to the last time I saw Patrick at the Astoria. It really is stripped down, and he wasn't kidding about 'no danzing.'
His voice was amazing however; he sang Augustine (which had me sobbing like a mascara dribbled fool) and went seamlessly into Get Lost. New song The Days is lush, and wonderful and the piano is just beautiful. I can't wait to hear it again tonight in Bristol.
So, from memory we got augustine, get lost, bluebells, the stars and the magic position (which was accompanied by Dev Lightspeed Champion on guitar), the libertine, teignmouth, shadow sea, land's end, wolf song, demolition, pigeon song, the days and another couple of new ones whose names I don't know.
The long red extensions look to be staying for a while, there was no glitter or sequins, and with the exception of the red hair Patrick looked very WITW-ish.
I smiled, and cried and danced a bit. What else could a girl want?

not much more awww poor thing, he was a bit nervous in brighton as well to start but suprisingly the crowd and the atmosphere was great there. the brighton crowd can be very mellow and bored looking, but luckily not this time.

that sounds wonderful, debs. i'm looking forward to these shows, i enjoy the stripped down versions of songs. i'm a little worried though. the friend i'm taking in middlesbrough doesn't really like his music and only really enjoys the magic position. she's going to be so disappointed, or perhaps she will be turned?? who knows....

My sister is the same, and she's joining me and my friends in Bristol tonight, so I'll let you know what she makes of him.

"I’d heard rumours of a virulent hissy fit at a gig earlier in the week"
Well don't listen to rumours, then.

It was a lovely show. I have photos and one video to upload. wasnt too impressed by the girl next to me saying 'not this shit, i f*cking hate this song' when he started playing Demolition. We were right at the front and Patrick could clearly hear, but he didn't bat an eyelid. I would have kicked her in the face. Paddy stole my home-made hat at the end too. Bless him. No glitter though
