First time poster here, hi.
First time seeing Patrick live, made a 200 mile round trip to see it, and it was amazing, what a mad gig! Loved the Spice Girls/Michelle McManus/Leona Lewis medley in his underwear, Augustine was superb too. Hoping I'll get the chance to go and see him again sometime in the future.

Was disappointed, and had really mixed feelings. Good to see he admits to being a diva, though! "A woman in a kimono just gave me a present." "Are you going to open it?" "Well, now?" "Yeah, it means that if you don't like it, I can have it back." "Is it an acid bomb?" "Yes, Patrick, it is an acid bomb." The medley was fucking amazing, though. Kelly Marie - Glasgow's Elvis? YES. E: Oh, Anne! I'm so sorry I didn't recognise you! Were you the woman who said hi to me when I went over to talk to Callum and Michael outside the Oran Mor main entrance? I am so sorry! I really wish I could have spoken with you properly!

I really enjoyed it Feels like I'm in love was very good, and the way he went into it from get lost (which was also great) worked really well. It'd have been nice if he'd come on on time and played a full set... we only really got about an hour... Also twas badly organised, the doors were meant to open at 7.30, but they didn't until 8 and by the time I got in (i was half way down the queue) Lightspeed Champion was already half way through his set, so only about 10 people saw the whole things, twas a bit dodgy But generally, a pretty good gig and twas nice to see him doing something different! x

He's waning. His Lowry set was around 90 mins. Plus .. bit concerning when the only positive comments he 's getting are for rubbish 'ironic' cover versions.
Tellin ya. His sabbatical can't come soon enough.

Oh, forgot to mention, the viola/violin/uke version of overture was far superior to the album version
However, what do people think of that new song "hard times"?
I'm not sure, the political thing nearly works, but i'm not sure... maybe will be better with a better arrangement?
Oh, and what was that "boy is a whore" song?

i personally loved the whole night,
was fantastic to hear all the songs acoustic. i particully enjoyed the first half hour, was very emotional.
oran mor really do need to sort things out though - we missed half of lightspeed champion because of the q, which was gutting. Also a 10.30 curfew! and £12 for 3 vodkas!
i really liked hard times, although, yes it is strange to hear such a politcal, "real life" song - still not convinced about the guitar tho.
what was the song he played about "the boy is a whore" ?
shame the crowd was so talkative when patrick was trying to introduce his songs
felt really sorry for victoria having to stand on stage by herself for ages before the encore, but the encore was awesome, the whole medley, wearing nothing but pants and glitter, and the magic position - it really felt like the place turned from a gig into a party for about 10 minutes.
anyway, all in all a brilliant night - including skipping down byres road at midnight eating ice cream and getting more than a few funny looks!

anyway, all in all a brilliant night - including skipping down byres road at midnight eating ice cream and getting more than a few funny looks! Very disappointed that I didn't see you, in that case! Also, ice cream? It was fucking freezing! The best part of the night was standing outside with Callum, Anne and Alberto, bumping into Claire dressed as a geisha and being attacked by a kamikaze Ceylan. The internets makes life surreal. Loved 'Hard Times'. The gig was... very odd. Also, there was a girl behind me who kept saying my name, it was very unsettling. Oh, and the bloke in front of me was crusin' for it, pushing in and standing on my feet and proceeding to have bend and stretch conversations with his midget girlfriend. Do not want. Also, he kept bumping and grinding into my crotch. I feel so violated. Cheerio, Michael. xxx

sorry i didnt see you too! it was freezing, im sure, just couldnt really feel it and was in need of some non alcoholic refreshment!
just listening to the bootleg of the Lowry gig, and im shocked at how noisy the crowd was in glasgow compared to the near silence of the lowry.
there were some really rude, sensless people there last night, and it just angers me so much, cos i know 2 of my friends would have given an arm and a leg to be there - and who wouldnt have been rude and noisy

ps - sorry for ranting - i loved it really

It'd have been nice if he'd come on on time and played a full set... we only really got about an hour... x I'd say that we got more than an hour, my friend says that we got about an hour forty according to him, I had it at around 90 minutes. For people saying that he's waning and that the only positive comments are for rubbish cover versions must just be looking for something to whine about, from where I was the whole gig was excellent, and a bit of light-heartedness (i.e. the medley) was also very welcome. Pigeon Song was great, new material sounds great, loved that we got Shadowseas as well.

yeah, i agree, he's not waning - just a silly curfew time, and for a shorter time, he still managed to pack in loads of tunes. The medley was great, but far from the best thing about the gig.
The setlist to the best of my ability (in rough, but proabaly very wrong order)
French Intro Oveture Bluebells Shadow Sea Tristan Pigeon Song Ghost Song The Boys A Whore (?) Get Lost Feels Like Im In Love Hard Times This Weather Magpie Augustine - SpiceGirls/Leona Lewis Magic Position

Hey Ed! thanks a lot for putting the setlist... I had almost all the songs in my head but I couldn't remember the exact order!
And... by the way, I just realised I haven't introduced myself! I'm Alberto (the '1st timer' who was with Michael, Callum and Anne last night!)
See you! ^^
ps. It was shorter than I expected, but absolutely amazing, IMO!!

Nope, he came on at about 9.10, and was finished at 10.20, with a 10 minute bit for him to go get changed in between! He was due on at 8.45 though... But still, just nit picking as a bit longer would have been nicer!

"Kelly Marie was Glasgow's Elvis." I am currently sorting through some photos, I'll get 'em up pronto.
