I say awkward turtle during awkward silences. But half the world has no idea about the awkward turtle, sadly. Do you add the awkward turtle hand movement too?

I love awkward silences when I'm interviewing someone suspected of theft or fraud.
When faced with a long pause many interviewees will say almost anything to fill the silence, often dropping themselves even further in it. I'm mean.

i have a habit of going "WELL THIS IS A THRILLING CONVERSATION ISN'T IT!?" during awkward silences. I would fall even more silent and possibly cry if someone said that to me.

Why has this thread not been killed in the face yet?

It's The Community Room, where people can post wank and - as long as they're not, like, terrorists or peadophiles - it has to remain unmoderated...
Feel free to turn it into Piefest '08, though.

I think Epic Fail Guy on page 1 kinda summed it up already.

I think that given the absence of anything interesting to discuss, we should use this thread to discuss Renaissance art. I'll start with Crivelli, what an awesome dude: This is apparently St Stephen, I think it is a detail from a larger piece but I'm not sure what: And one of my personal favourite paintings ever, "Annunciation with St Emidius": I was at a talk by a UFO expert, who claimed that the beam of light from heaven was in fact a portrayal of a visitation by aliens, in a spaceship. What bollocks! Get a fucking grip.

I like how Renaissance art shifted into Mannerism. Renaissance artists spent all that time pontificating on perspective and proportion, and later artists just... disregarded it.
