Ha, no you don't seem teenie, neither do most people on here, I'm just use to being the comparative old bugger of the forum. OOhh yeah I know the Sheds are touring! DODGY are too! C'mon Kenickie ladies when Lauren drops the sprog you KNOW you want to. I fucking loved Gay Dad, they have to rank as the most short lived NME hyped to fuck band ever though, ha. I liked Pavement when I was about 12 too, which is probably very cool it was Shady Lane that did it for me and the fact that my favourite band at the time (Blur) never shut up about them. Aw love, your unfathomable love of 90s indie and Britpop reminds me of a fella who used to be one of my best mates. He compares every band around at the moment to any number of Britpop bands. He worships the ground Blur walks on. He likes pink. Dodgy?! I still have a poster I got free in Smash Hits of them dressed as Take That at the press conference to announce they were splitting up. There was also Ronan Keating as Keith Flint from The Prodigy (yes it was fantastic).

Every "indie" band of today can be compared to a band from the Britpop era... everything seems to be done, or they don't seem to find a new way to compose music, I don't know... The new Kaiser Chiefs album is SO similar to the oldest Blur albums that they could go to court and win...
I'm 28...*sigh*... and when my friends and I went out when we were teenagers, our hymn was "Waking up", by Elastica... (which was pretty cool living in a city in Spain that wasn't Madrid nor Barcelona!)
Oh.. well...
Congratulations, Josh, you're just 23!

That Kaiser Chiefs album is about 60% rubbish. Poor Blur.

^^ Yeah, and they seem to think that nobody has listened "Leisure" and can literally copy it. Bah...

^^ Yeah, and they seem to think that nobody has listened "Leisure" and can literally copy it. Bah... Why would anyone want to copy Leisure? It's shite! The sound of a band unsure if they should jump on the baggy bandwagon or the shoegazing one. That said Sing is probably my favourite Blur song.

I do quite enjoy The Angry Mob and Learnt My Lesson Well, but oh the fun to be gained from singing 'soooooooooo, modern life is rubbish nowadaaaaaaays' to that song that was ironically the most average song they've ever releaed.

I really loved Blur when I was younger, and considering their albums in the moment they were released, I think they were pretty good, including Leisure. My favourite one is still Parklife. And Sing is very good song, it gets old very very well (as I hope you do, to keep this on-topic!).

Blur's self titled album is the best one. I was totally obsessed with that when I was young, played it like seven times a day. I have never heard music like that then (ya'know the whole vaugly lofi direction), but I still think it stands up well now.
Oh to be 12 again!
