There were a couple of warmly giggly bits to Lycanthropy, the "giraffe on the rocks" being a prime example, which i think served to strengthen its emotional impact. Humour is part of being human, after all. But as for it being less serious than TMP, i don't get that! TMP was much more outspoken in it's humourous moments. "Get Lost", "The Magic Position", even "Magpie" could all be argued as being quite humourous, or at least lighthearted, in their approach.
