Maybe it's like, when things are going crap, you just need to get out and clear your mind. Like, if life seems to be going too fast, just go fast with it.
Or it's about going insane perhaps. Meh. Guessing it's one of those songs that are up to you personally to interpret.

for me its a bit about revenge, and anger, but that feeling when youre angry at everything, but underneath it all is a really heavy sadness, and you just go out and do stupid things to forget about it, which i guess covers the (possible) drug references. and the speeding thing - for me- symbolises getting away from something, ploughing into the night to get away from it?! I love how you can tell that all the songs are really personal to patrick, some of them almost a documentation of his life or whatever... but you can assign your own interpretation to them at the same time.... - i like to play it really loud while i tidy my bedroom for some reason

I seem to remember something from Silence of the Lambs, where Dr. Lecter says that blood appears quite dark, almost black, in the moonlight. Oh, yeah...this would be one of my all-time fave songs, ever. I love Hannibal Lecter! and i love the song Bloodbeat also....

For me it's about strength, independence and letting go.

I kinda think that its about acting on impulse, just not caring about your actions for once. But then I also think its about "searching for secrets"....oh...I don't know!

Good ideas I thought it was about his runaway & how his life was spinning out of control, etc. x

It always seemed to me, like a few of Patricks songs, to be about a burning, passionate and powerful desire for freedom, as well as the exhiliration felt once having achieved that. It's never seemed to have a particular place or time in my mind, just a feeling translated into words and sound, made real.
