I was watching the news (Toronto news) and they said something like "it was the greatest moment in the history of american sport" and I nearly spit out my dinner. That's hilarious. I don't think they'll be making any inspirational sports films out of this one.

i love america, our history excites me, i'm so proud to be american it took me so long to write that cause i was mesmerized by your sig, i could watch it forever. Wow all this time I thought Allison was from Britain!!!! Anyways yeah I kinda agree. Ever been to Washington? It's really an incredible place to see, our history is very unique and interesting. And yes our president is a dumbarsssss and some of our culture is trashy but hey. There are worse places to live. I say we should embrace the trashiness. This eating contest is one example. Greatest moment in American sport history? That is great.

Honestly, I find Washington the worst place to visit. I try to go far away. but that's because I live here... i'd find myself missing it if i was somewhere else. Washington gets me angry though, so we have these great buildings right next to the worst housing projects in the world?

The National Gallery is one of my favorite places in the world. It's so easy to get there from Baltimore, via MARC train, then the Metro. All you have to do is follow the pretty colored lines.

I'm terrible at being patriotic. But I do like a good art museum.

I lived in Arizona for a really long time and now I am forever averted to the sun. America can be beautiful and kind of disgusting, but the disgusting part kind of makes it beautiful. American history is really cool besides the fact that we fucked over the Native Americans I like the thought of all of these different people coming to this new land to create their own new lives. I think our government is really boring, though.

Haha well I guess that's understandable given that loonnggg drive. For us it was basically on a tour bus, for 6-7 hours, looking at a bunch of hills and rocks. So it was nice once we got there. And I really don't know why I thought you were British. I guess you just sort of seemed like it or something? Also, I was not observant of your location which clearly states California.

I was hoping someone could photoshop over the faces of the original 'Team' and replace them with some of the Patrick Wolf fans here on the board...
Funny yeah? Get to it you Yanks!

America is awesome because I like the smell of barbeques on its birthday. That's the only positive I can think of at the moment.

I like America for its Constitution, Bill of Rights, checks and balances, and rule of law. (That the current administration has decided to shit upon all of these values is another issue entirely...)

Moving out isn't that easy. I wish I could move out. I'm going to school in New York City for four years after I graduated. I would move to London or Glasgow if I could... I still plan on it. America's full of people who don't think.
