So, what do you want to be when you’re bigger? = ]
Has what you’ve wanted to be changed a lot over the years?
For those of you who are big already, what do you do, and is it what you want to be doing?
I would like to become good enough at Art to be a practising Artist that can at least support living costs without getting a second job. That’s goal one. Goal two is international recognition and lots of people liking me and buying me drinks and hugging me. Goal 3 is feeling satisfied with whatever work I’m doing. Goal 3 is likely impossible.

I am going to be a photographer. I am not quite sure what that entails... Probably lots of weddings and such.
I'm very apprehensive as to my future, because I have absolutely no idea as to what I want to do with my life. I want to own an art studio/venue. I want to write a novel. I want to like who I am.

I want to work on a magazine, or on radio. I used to want to be a popstar, but a certain friend said i was crap and would never do anything. You know how it goes. I also wanted to be a ballet dancer, but quit lessons because i hated my teacher. Good luck with the artist thing

This thread is impossibly cute.
I want to do some international NGO work, maybe be a professor eventually, and write whenever I can.
I never had a dream job as a child.

I want a really doss journalism job akin to Charlie Brooker's. Alternatively writing of some kind. Though that's not happening.

I always wanted to be a vet, I'd help him when he came out to work on the cattle and the horses, and assisted him during surgery in the school holidays.
These days I'm an auditor for a FTSE top 100 company. I love it. I did all types of different work until I found how well this suited me. It's my 'Goal 3' according to Oat's definition.
Goal 3 isn't impossible, and if you don't strive for it you're going to spend about 40% of your waking life very unhappy.

"Goal 3" is all I really want out of life.

When I was younger I had dreams of being a celebrity. Musician-wise. This is a no-no. I've had dreams of being a film director for 3 or 4 years now. I really doubt this will happen, though. I kind of hate thinking about my future. I don't know what I really want to do. Sometimes I wonder if I should write, though. I just don't know what to write.

Rockstar ideally, but you know, I'm quite happy with my position as a DJ/Photographer at the moment apart from the complete lack of money I make.
