Yes, people forget they’re usually around 20. I can’t bring myself to be as judgmental as some are about people so young.

Watched this incident last night. Some thoughts ... The word she used was NiggA. A phrase now widely used in the rap genre as an affirmation of strength and solidarity. Therefore, it's pretty ludicrous to blame a middle class blonde wannabe from Bristol for the words' misappropriation. However, after the ridiculously overblown media coverage of the Jade Goody affair, you can see why channel 4 took such action. Unfortunately, for Mr average Joe Public these things are (and pardon the pun) black and white.

I felt sorry for her initially, because she was obviously shocked at herself for letting it slip out, but she went on to tell people they weren't offended by it, and her 'it's not fair!' whinging in the Diary Room really wasn't the best way to own up to it. Douchebag.
Charley was being an utter hellion about it; letting it 'drop' and then bringing as much attention to it as she possibly could, appalling diction and all. Shabnam was just as bad; she must have said 'just leave it' thirty times in her confrontation last night, and the incident had nothing to do with her!
This series has been lame so far, though.
Cheerio, Michael. xxx

I didn't watch it, although I can understand from what I've read that she may have said it as a joke, though I don't think that it was right for her to say it, even if it was in a jokey way. But everyone will probably have forgotten it by next month.
But anyway, they're apparently putting two more men in today.

That Irish guy took a ridiculously fast dislike to the greek guy. That really doesn't bode well for house harmony does it? I mean, how the hell did he get in the house if he can be so immediately judgmental? Was a certain amount of tolerance not a prerequisite of entry? He's horrible. As for Charley, how comical. Immediately after the 'incident' she didn't really give a sh*t, now she's rolling around crying about her persecution, and telling everyone that the incident will be all over the papers etc, whilst insisting that everyone "just drops it". Er ... until they drop it.

That Irish guy took a ridiculously fast dislike to the greek guy. That really doesn't bode well for house harmony does it? I think it was fairly obvious he'd taken something before entering the house, so I'm not sure his first impressions count for much; however, I did notice the Greek bloke cornering him almost immediately and asking whether he was straight, and his over-familiar antics in the Diary Room would have put me off, too... But, OMG! The Irish One is a douche, why am I defending him? Cheerio, Michael. xxx

I think they did the absolutely the right thing by removing Emily from the Big Brother house, actually when I saw the show I just wanted to give Channel 4 a big hug for getting it right for once. Yes, she didn't mean it offensively, but the fact that it just slipped out like that gives the impression that she uses the word often back home. Where I live, it’s 97% white, and I hear people at my school using the word nigga/nigger all the time. It makes me really angry, especially when I find myself having a go at people who are my friends and who I really like, just because they have obviously been raised to think using that word as a joke is acceptable. On more than one occasion I’ve just got up and walked out of class because I got in an argument with people making extremely racist jokes. And do you know why? It’s because they genuinely believe that there is nothing wrong with what they are doing, so when I try to explain it to them, they really can’t grasp the fact that they are being racist, which frustrates me. To them, the entire concept of racism is a joke: if someone says something like ‘pass me the black pen’ they will gasp and go ‘Oh, that is so racist’ and laugh. It drives me completely fucking insane. They are so ignorant, they think they are sooo funny and it makes me want to slap them, but if they’ve been raised that way there is fuck all I can do about it. No-one has taught them about the word nigger or any of the history behind it, or explained to them that although lots of black people use it as a friendly greeting to other black people in an attempt to remove the stigma from the word, it doesn’t give everyone the right to use it. Hell, no one has even told them that it’s offensive word. Racism isn’t something you get taught about at school, it probably should be, because the vast majority of people I know don’t know when they are being racist. And if your parents are racist, and your school isn’t teaching you any better (or even punishing you for racism)… well, the results are inevitable. Emily knew that racism was wrong, and she didn’t think by saying nigga so casually she was being racist... she had heard the word being used casually by her friends and family so many times, it probably didn’t even occur to her. But she was being racist. It’s just a shame that Big Brother was the first one who ever told her that. That's why I felt sorry for her. Charley was being an utter hellion about it; letting it 'drop' and then bringing as much attention to it as she possibly could, appalling diction and all. Shabnam was just as bad; she must have said 'just leave it' thirty times in her confrontation last night, and the incident had nothing to do with her! Oh, Charley is milking the 'poor victim' thing so much, it's horrific. All that fake crying and pretending to be deeply offended and effected by the incident, even though when it actually happened she said she wasn't bothered by it. Still, she is the publics least favourite and will probably be the next to leave. I just read the Daily Mail's coverage of Emily being removed. Seriously, I used to think it was impossible for my immeasurable hatred toward the Daily Mail to grow any larger... I was wrong.

I think Charley believes if she plays the victim it will turn her into this years Shilpa and she be praised and held up as a hero against adversity.
I mean look love, you aint fucking Rosa Parks.
Seany tolfd her about the 'get charley out' chants and apparently she said something like 'oh but i thought they would like me after the last few days' or something like that.
Ha! I still enjoy watching her desperation, and she is actually tragically comical.

I like most of the housemates now. But the new guy (the one who's not Gerry) seemed very rude when he came in.
But it says on the big brother site that Lesley's walked.

I'm going for a thread resurrection. Or, has everyone lost interest? Anyway, WHY DID THE PUBLIC VOTE OUT BILLIE? His plans to rattle a few cages with Charley were pretty exciting. Poor show Mr J Public, poor show.
