Anyone play it? Sims 2 I mean. I don't play the original anymore. Anyone want custom sims? I love doing it and I am fairly ok at it. I also made a Patrick sim if anyone wants it. I can make Sims of you or friends, or celebs or whatever. Your grandma? SURE!

I used to be mad-obsessed with this game; but its novelty always wears off after about three months of compulsively controlling their lives. Normally when I realise that I care about my Sims so much I begin to neglect my own life.

I liked to put them in a room with no windows or doors and watch them wet themsevles and sleep in a puddle of their own piss, putting them in a swimming pool without stairs so they'd drown, set their house on fire, and basically make their lives hell.
hilarity ensues

I used to be that bad. I go through phases now, which I consider ok. Right now, I am kind of a Simming maniac again, but then I'll stop for a long time.

I was bad at the Sims. They usually ended up so depressed they wouldn't leave the house, so they never made friends, or got a job, and then died when trying to fix things they weren't qualified to fix.
The Sims can be so damn morbid.

That's a little strange. Mine ususally take care of them ok unless they have a lazy personality. The only sim I have a problem with is this new one who just had a baby. Instead of feeding herself and doing all that, she only holds the baby. I assume it's some sort of glitch, but I don't know.

I like making the houses, which I think stems from a longstanding obsession with 'changing rooms'. But after that I get bored. I used to do the same thing with barbies- make the houses/shops/do the hairstyles etc.. and then just pack it away again.

You can only be successful at Sims if you never leave it for two seconds and have good reflexes/paranormal skillz.
Needless to say I was pretty good at it for a while but then my laptop gave in and it wouldn't run anymore.
I'm going to find my old discs and put them on. if they run for mac anyway. woo!!

Wooooo, I wanted to meet God in the other thread, but going by this Meryl is my God and I'm actually not a real person but living in a very complex version of the Sims.

Babies are so involved! Once I got twins and it was terrible because they wanted to be fed at different times. Once they got to be toddlers and could walk and such it was okay, because then they'd just play with skill-building toys.
I got a zombie for the first time ever yesterday. It wasn't as entertaining as I expected.

I used to play it a lot, I cheated most of the time though. I got bored and everyone was cheating on their husbands and wives and stuff. I don't think I had one couple that was monogymous. How awful.

Patrick is difficult to make because he has a long face and they don't really have a good face modifier for that. So his face is a little shorter than it should be. I'll package him and upload him in a couple minutes.

I've got skillz! But seriously, I never really liked the Sims. I also don't like the way the cashed in the addicts by bringing out a new expansion every few months. The guys who created it are some of the best in the games industry, though. Their new game looks awesome...

Ok here's Patrick. Unfortunately, I really can't include my custom content. However, I can link to the custom content I used. Sadly, some people didn't include their credit in their filename, so I don't know where all of it came from. Anyway, he's packaged with Maxis crap. If you want the custom stuff, tell me, and I will try to find it again for you. Again the face is a tad shorter/wider than it should be because the face modifiers suck a bit. I'm not the only morbid one here! Another thing I liked to do was put in lots of paintings and furniture by the fireplaces so it was more interesting to watch them burn.
