I'm actually not scared of the Shining, well, except for the creepy twins. But I just love the movie. It's the first film that made me really interested in filmmaking.

Ignatius Reilly from "A Confederacy Of Dunces" ;D
While he's convinced he's got the solution to stop war for always and would make it so only to annoy a woman who said he needs to see a shrink.

Howl from Howl's Moving Castle is such an awesome hero. I probably only think this because I have a bizarre crush on him. My favourite villan (if he counts as one) is Pale Face from Pan's Labyrinth. I do not have a bizarre crush on him, however.

Pan's Labyrinth! That's what he is from! I was going to check that out. They have a sign next to it at the video store that says "WARNING: THIS MOVIE IS NOT FOR CHILDREN." they don't even have that next to the porn movies...

Oh yes, the yellow villain from Sin City is disgusting especially because he's played by my least favourite actor ever, Nick Stahl, yuck.

Howl from Howl's Moving Castle is such an awesome hero. I probably only think this because I have a bizarre crush on him. Young Howl looks and dresses like Wind in the Wires-era Patrick. True facts, everyone. I'll second and third Ursula and Maleficent 'til I die, but I need to throw a special shout out to my homegirl Yzma from The Emperor's New Groove ('and then I'll SMASH IT WITH A HAMMER!') and Madame Mim from The Sword in the Stone (even if she was stupid enough to let Merlin kill her by turning into AIDs). Also, Mombi from Return to Oz; Oats so wants in my pants with representing my favourite villains. The Nome King from the same film deserves a mention, too...: My favourite bit is when he puts down his pornilicious crack pipe, pulls up the hem of his rocked out dressing gown and reveals that he's wearing ruby slippers. Scary, because he is genuinely perverted. Also, OMG WHEELERS EVERYBODY HIDE!: As a child, I convinced myself that The Wheelers were following me, ducking behind fences and lamposts whenever I turned around. I swear I saw one on top of my Gran's coal bunker once. I could do this all night. On a literary front, one up for Mrs Coulter, for being genuinely sadistic and probably the most interesting villain, at least in the children's literary canon. On TV, no one beats her most-sweaty-naughty-feelings-causing-ness Glorificus: 'I am great and I am beautiful, and when I walk into a room all eyes turn to me, because my name is a holy name...' OMG I NEED TO STOP. Cheerio, Michael. xxx

Oh no Wheelers. Once I was watching Return to Oz at my friend's and her little sister came in the room and we said, "if you ever lie about anything, those people will come after you," and we pointed to the t.v. screen where the Wheelers were on.
She ran away crying.

The Wheelers are the reason I never saw Return to Oz. Madame Medusa is the sort of stuff nightmares are made of. Billy in Hocus Pocus used to make my sister cry. "Je veux mon livre...I want my book." KLESSIK FILM.

"Your name is bitch! And I own you. You're property! And when I'm tired of having sex with every hole God drilled in your slender frame... King Gorilla! You got a cigarette?" "There! I just sold you for a cigarette! And I don't smoke! "

I preferred The One (I've forgotten the big bad from the last season's name. Tsk) though. It knew what was going down. Who is your hero? Buffy, perhaps? Hahahahahahahhaha.

Meursault in Camus's The Stranger is pretty great (this is coming from a fanatic of existential lit).

Carnage from Spiderman. Hitler from the Wolfensteins Darth Nihilus from KOTOR:II. When you actually fight him it turns out he's not all that... But he looks scary as...
