If both people know what they're letting themselves in for then there's no need to feel ashamed at all. If there's no attachment to the other person then it's pretty easy to just enjoy it and never speak of it/do it again.
It's quite liberating stuff..

yeah I was gonna say. Never saw why anyone needs to comment on anyone elses sex life anyway. If people want to save sex as a rare and sacred thing with an animal, thats cool. If people want to safely enjoy each others bodies together more frequently thats cool. You know people should keep their noses out. Incidentally I fall into one of the catagories above and its the one you'd expect least. Josh! Ha noo, I could never have sex if I wasn't in love or least had strong feelings of intrinsic trust for someone despit the fact I worship the female form. Ha well no offers either way but still, theres my position in theory.

In fact, I have no moral grounding at all.

ha no its not a moral thing.
I'm not big on the general idea of a universal morality. It's just about personal comfort with me.
I basically I'm not going to take anyone to bed I'm not 100% sure isn't going to laugh when I drop my trousers.

i feel like sharing this for absolutely no reason.
i am not a virgin. sometimes i wish i was. because i think if i was, my life would be completely different and i would be a totally different person. i lost it at age 13. wayyyy too young. so now i hate sex & i'm pretty much messed up for life. (this is partially a lie, but i am not sure which part).
i really shouldn't have told you guys that.

The only disappointment is that you feel messed up from it and don't like the idea of it anymore.

Manwhore. That's it and it's still a masculinised version of a term for women. And even then, it's not really that insulting, to be fair. It's mostly used as a teasing sort of word without a real slagging behind it. With that in mind, I think people here should re-consider their use of the word "slut," because it's anti-woman, very offensive, hurtful and a really very crass word. It is really disappointing that people here would throw that word around so casually, when I had hoped the Wolfboard community would be more accepting and less condemning. The only situation I would ever use the word "slut" in would be in a reclaiming sort of situation, but even then it makes me wince.

I can't personally recall the last time i heard anyone use the word slut (or the last time i called anyone a slut) in anything more then a teasing sense, in the same way people use the word manwhore but thats just me. Sorry if it upset you Clare

I forgive you. I personally find it a horrible word with horrible connotations, but if you meant it in a teasing sense, then I understand your use of it a little better.

I am. I haven't even kissed anyone. I'm just ridiculously picky [and fearful.] There's nothing wrong with being picky. Okay, a bit of personal story time, now. I'd kissed other people before I met my first girlfriend, but I definitely wished I'd waited to kiss someone. Before I went out with Beck (first real girlfriend), I kind of tolerated kissing but always found it kind of gross and strange. Kind of like a "why are you seeking out my tonsils with your tongue, strange teenager?"... With her, though, kissing was as important (possibly more) than actual sex and being kissed by her was like being absolutely scrutinized/possessed (in the nicest, most wonderful, toe curling way). Anyways, so she totally clued me in on kissing and now I try to do it as frequently as possible and I think it's wonderful. That had really nothing to do with anything, sorry. Edited for strange pronoun usage.

Aww, no! It definetely had relevance, at least to what I said. And yeah, you're right, there's really nothing wrong with being picky...and I should probably wait to kiss someone where it will be meaningful

Heyy.
Too much stress put on virginity.
I never thought about it much, but I lost mine by surprise, didn't really get a chance to ask myself deep and meaningful questions.
You only build yourself up for disappointment, chill out, go with the flow. Could be bad, could be good, but it's more likely to be bad if you worry about it.
Can't stand all the fuckarsing about, life's too short to worry about stuff like that. It's the first time, not the ONLY time.
