A long and dark night ago...
His dashing red hair on the cover of a street magazine caught my attention because of its wonderful colour. Then i read the live review inside and thought "wow he sounds amazing". A friend proceded to play me the Magic Position and The Libertine and i am now hooked after buying TMP the next day.
It hurts to miss seeing him live by 4 days.

Round about 2003 or 2004, I was on the Fametracker forums (which were the most awesomest forums to have ever existed), and when those were shut down, the people I usually conversed with on there set up a Livejournal page for our music discussions. Someone uploaded 3 Patrick songs - Paris, The Libertine and The Gypsy King, just before Wind In The Wires came out. I downloaded them since I'd heard of him a few months before, but I didn't listen to them until a while later. Just so happened that one day I was deleting unnecessary files from my computer and decided to give them a listen. They were tasty.

I used to have a horrible phobia of pigeons and daddylonglegs (ridiculous I know!). This fantastic person introduced me to Pigeon Song about 18 months ago and life's never been the same.
P.S. I'm now FINE with pigeons but don't leave me with daddylonglegs!

I read an article about him in a free street magazine they hand out here in the city and thought he seems pretty interesting and yes, I loved the red hair!. A week later I thought I'd look him up on the net. Watched a few live performances and well, let's just say I'm now pleasantly obsessed

I was at a record store in/around Lexington, MA. There was a beautiful girl stocking discs. In a weird, non-stalkerish way while trying to get closer to her and see her name (why? I don't know), I was browsing the pop section and happened upon the Magic Postion. I picked it up because of the boy (skinny, beautiful, shiny shoes, wide red hair, monochrome-ish outfit...) and purchased the disc, since I was starting to get strange looks and then I left and haven't seen the girl since (but am enjoying the album!)

I heard about him about... Around a year ago? Something like that from someone's livejournal account, and than afterwards someone used his songs Tristan and Jacobs ladder in the background of a sim video thingy and I really liked the song Tristan so I decided to check out more of his stuff.

I think I first saw a picture of him in a music blog and thought that he looked really different to the people I'd normally listen to then a friend sent me Bluebells and I was hooked after Lycanthropy and Wind In The Wires.

I discovered him Fall 2005. Ah, I swear, discovering his music led to one of the more magical periods of my life. Like you know, those few months where it's all so refreshing and really the only thing you even think about listening to? I had a livejournal friend from Germany who always ranted about him, and who had similar music taste as me. So, although, for some reason because of his name I pictured him as an old man with an acoustic guitar (I DON'T KNOW) I finally decided to check him out. I heard Paris and I think my mouth opened so wide in amazement! And luckily, my parents took a short trip to Montreal a few days after this discovery, where they could go to HMV and buy me Lycanthropy and Wind in the Wires. Lovely lovely lovely lovelyyy.

There was an article about the Magic Position in the London Paper in February this year, I think. And I thought a song set to a beat of fireworks sounded good.

I read a review of The Magic Position in NME and thought Patrick seemed really different and intriguing. On the day that The Magic Position came out, I rushed out and bought it, and then bought the rest of his albums and a few vinyl singles. I haven't looked back

I recall an old friend listening to it. Or maybe it was the RWB, where I used to post.

Err, once again my memory FAILS me. I don't which one came first...
I'm an avid ONTD (OhNoTheyDidnt, LJ community) reader, and someone posted about his "retirement" there. I was intrigued.
I, at one point, download Winamp and they had The Magic Position MP3 there for free. I dug it.
I'm pretty sure reading about him on ONTD came first. Anyway, so I'm a new Wolf fan. Although even though the first album I checked out of his was The Magic Position, I'm going to have to say my favorite is Lycanthropy. So powerful.

I just found out about him, the 6th of July at 4 in the morning... I went to the city that evening, and a friend of mine brought me back to home, and he played that music very loud, we couldn't even hear each other anymore... I didn't dare to ask who was playing (because he's totally into music and reacts like you're a fool when you don't know some artists he loves) so I remembered a part of the lyrics and that night I started searching who it was... By now I've got all the CD's

Around the time of Wind In The Wires, I read about him in NME, but never thought anything much of the article. Then just before the release of Accident & Emergency, my friend told me he was great and knew i'd love him, so i listened to The Childcatcher, and i thought it was amazing.
