My name is Kyle, and I first heard about Patrick from an NME review of Lycanthropy back when it came out. It sounded like something I would like, so I searched and searched for the album (being that I live in California in the states and it had yet to be released here) and finally found it at a big independent music store in LA. It is even more amazing to me now than it was when I first played it, and it only gets better. I have been a fan of Patrick since then.

Hello, I'm Robbie. I'm from Edinburgh but live and study in London. I got into Patrick just under a year ago when I met my boyfriend who loves his music lots and lots. I've seen Patrick live twice and they have both been magical.

You are quite lucky. Patrick played one show in LA, but it was 21 and over, and i am only 20. Luckily he did a small promotion at a record store, but it was noisy and people were shopping and all the lights were on and it was really a short set. but i guess better than nothing. I do hope he comes back to the states soon.

Hello, I'm new. I'm Sara. I live in Sweden, but I'm planning on moving to Ireland or Paris this summer... or just anywhere.
I found out about Patrick from an article in my local paper a month ago. Since then I've been stuck - he is fantastic. I'm finding myself longing for February (which used to be the worst and most useless month...).

Hello, my name is Anna, and I'm from Stockholm, Sweden. I first heard of Patrick last winter/spring, and I've seen him live twice - at the Arvika festival and Stockholm Poetry Festival. My favourite songs for the moment are 'Bloodbeat' and 'A boy like me'. I would give almost anything to see him again soon! Take care.

Hiya so nice to find this place, and indeed so nice to find Patrick!
I've fall deep in love with his songs, i didn't think i could love a modern act so much. Finally a ray of innovation with a singular artist voice in the modern scene.
my favourite songs are well i love the whole of Lyncanthorpy, but Paris and The Pigeon Song are extra special.
I had downloaded Wind In The Wires, then i came to this place and read Patricks letter and it made me cry! Lucky i didnt listen to it. So yes i've deleated and all the files and can not wait for the offical realse.
Im a very messege board person, meet many of my best friends that way, interest to know what sort of souls reside here and getting to know you all!
Oh and anyone recognise the reference in my username?
and silly me im Josh from the very glam location of Bradford!!

wahay! I love them...
Queen Adreena are good too, but a bit too goth angst for me sometimes.
Eleventeen is the strangest most thrilling collection of terror and bubblegum.

I agree with you! Upon listening to either band I'm just so grateful I can get lost in Katie and Crispin's world of fairy tales for the dysfunctional. That collection you just described is what's so inviting... Limelight or no limelight, the intensity never fades out, live or on record.

I'm kind of suprised to find a fellow fan here. But then they do kind of link with Patrick if you think about it. Fairy talecore.. or something, i should write a letter to the nme and make them use that as their new genre to hype anything sounds better then "quirky-somethings" I need to listen to Taxidermy again, so many magical moments on that album, im not always a fan so much of QA's heavier songs, but songs like Weeds and For I Am The Way are swoon inducingly magical. Oh and how dopey i'm i? i just noticed the connection in the DC lyrics you posted.

I'm kind of suprised to find a fellow fan here. Daisy Chainsaw seem to be a huge inspiration and influence to many of the bands I find myself listening to now. The name has been passed down to many fans of these bands, if you will. It's hard for me to find someone who hasn't heard of them around these 'ere interwebby parts. However refreshing that one DC fan also bows his head to the Wolf! Which is what counts! Anywho, let me introduce myself properly! I was raised by a pack of those skin and bone, they built my legs from sticks and stones. Man tried to capture me in cinema and prose but with the skeletons and the moths I still dance, in my home through the wardrobe. I'm from a strange world called Barnia and also share a love for pigeons. I had a favourite pigeon, he caught my eye in line to a gig once, drinking home made vodka and lemonade (me, not the pigeon). I kindly offered him some but alas, he was dead high above our heads on a sign that read 'The London Garage'. I named him Montague, 'Monty' for short. Ol' faithful Monty, he never left his home even when his body was as cold as stone. He never flew away and he never left me. The music of Patrick Wolf moves me. Keeps me hopeful. That one day this lion will fly away himself.
